Struve rocked him in two different occasions in the second round. Tybura was on wobbly legs twice.

Am I seriously the only one that thinks damage should be by far the greatest contributor to who wins a round?

The control and position you obtain is a reward in itself and should not be counted as "points". Its your job to lay down damage in that superior position, otherwise the superior position didn't result in damage.
