Photo of Cliff Burton with his very first band EZ Street. I believe this was 1978 or maybe early 1979. Also featured in the band is future Ozzy/Faith No More drummer Mike Bordin and future guitarist for Faith No More Jim Martin

It was in this band that Metallica guitarist James Hetfield and drummer Lars Ulrich heard him playing live at the Whiskey A Go Go. They heard him playing this amazing shredding (The bass solo he was playing would later morph into the song (Anesthesia) - Pulling Teeth featured on their debut Kill 'Em All released in 1983). I always found Lenny to be one of those people who looks the same their entire lives, that man has barely aged in the looks department. He's been blessed for sure with amazing genetics

This is from February this year and he's 52

This one is hanging in our living room: Lennie Tristano with Charlie Parker looking over his shoulder. Back is a Billy Bauer and Eddie Safranski.

RIP Chris Cornell.. I'm going to try to find some other photos of him in addition to the one that I posted earlier.

For now, I post a pic from the summer of 2000... Eddie Vedder holding one of Chris's kids as a newborn.

Just saw this from the news re: Chris. RIP.

Fresh Tendrils

@Jackonfire

I originally tagged you (thinking you'd readily appreciate the intricacy of the bass in that track^) but then deleted it, ha. Great minds and all that...
