    well in all fairness, according to clapton at least in his autobiography, harrison was a womanizer who hit on anything with a snatch, so it's a big whatever.

    Photo of Cliff Burton with his very first band EZ Street. I believe this was 1978 or maybe early 1979. Also featured in the band is future Ozzy/Faith No More drummer Mike Bordin and future guitarist for Faith No More Jim Martin

    Cliff Burton with his second band Agents Of Misfortune from 1979 to 1981 featuring Jim Martin who would later become guitarist for Faith No More

    Cliff Burton joined his first major band Trauma in 1982

    It was in this band that Metallica guitarist James Hetfield and drummer Lars Ulrich heard him playing live at the Whiskey A Go Go. They heard him playing this amazing shredding (The bass solo he was playing would later morph into the song (Anesthesia) - Pulling Teeth featured on their debut Kill 'Em All released in 1983). They thought it was a guitarist and were amazed to find out it was actually a bassist playing. Ron McGovney their previous bassist left the band they asked if he wanted to join and since he thought Trauma was getting "a little too commercial" as he put it he decide to join under one condition the band move to San Francisco which they did

    Lenny Kravitz as, what I'm guessing, as a teenager with his mom.

    I always found Lenny to be one of those people who looks the same their entire lives, that man has barely aged in the looks department. He's been blessed for sure with amazing genetics

    This is from February this year and he's 52

    Here's a few of my wife's uncle Lennie Tristano playing with some of the other greats of the 50's and 60's

    This one is hanging in our living room: Lennie Tristano with Charlie Parker looking over his shoulder. Back is a Billy Bauer and Eddie Safranski.

    Descent into the Maelström was a pretty remarkable song between the sound and the recording techniques.

    RIP Chris Cornell.. I'm going to try to find some other photos of him in addition to the one that I posted earlier.

    For now, I post a pic from the summer of 2000... Eddie Vedder holding one of Chris's kids as a newborn.

    Just saw this from the news re: Chris. RIP.

    Fresh Tendrils
    from the Superunknown LP is one of my favourite all-time tracks from them (amazing bass line too). Playing now...

    @Jackonfire

    I originally tagged you (thinking you'd readily appreciate the intricacy of the bass in that track^) but then deleted it, ha. Great minds and all that...
