video replay in boxing

I don't think it's a bad thing to have but it seemed odd that VIC used it during Rigs and Flores. they were talking to people who work for HBO... and were misinformed about the bell sound. I had no idea refs were allowed to look at any video. Probbaly no mention in the rules at all. I'd be okay if they used video replay but had an ACTUAL official working.
 
Consistency is also an issue. If Uz was DQ'd against Dirrell, then Rigo should have been DQ'd. However, I think a NC for both is better and frankly, would have been a gift to Andre Dirrell. A DQ in that one was rough on Uz, IMO.
 
A lot of replay use in boxing might encourage "flopping", tho. If you're hit with an illegal shot the ref doesn't see, and you know there is replay and are looking for a way out...
 
I believe they werent looking for if it was after the bell, rather looking to see if the punch was after the ref stepped in...if so, grounds for an NC or DQ
