Because context doesnt matters?
No matter what this is the us fault not Venezula and no matter what we do we’ll be blamed. I vote ignore.
Blamed by who?
This one time I wish US or someone would go in and assassinate the leader. but if it did happen you just get a puppet but a puppet that feeds his people better than one who does not i guess.
What a jackass..
How this guy hasn’t got a bullet to the head yet perplexes me
,please tell me you aren’t an American college student With a Chavez T-shirt.
depends which option we choose
Why are they in jail or barred from politics?
That makes sense, do you think if the refugee issue gets worse the surrounding nations declare war on the country? i cant imagine other people taking a lot of refugees forever.
War would create even more of them
I think war would be more costly than taking refugees TBH.
I think at most they would petition the US to implement sanctions on Venezuela and see the country fall into chaos.
from my understanding Venezuela produces heavy crude which can be easily replaced by the Canadian heavy crude, the only issue with Canada is the lack of pipeline to export more of the stuff. The Canadian industry is growing its crude on a yearly basis but are shipping a lot of it by rail as there isnt enough pipeline to the USA. Even if the American refineries that only process heavy crude need that crude Canada could be the natural supplier. I think sanctions are going to happen and Venezuela already sends a lot of crude to China plus India to repay loans so i doubt they will provide more loans.
Those kids are starving. Do you hate children? Chomsky made this argument with Iraq sanctions. Been done
Except Venezuela is nothing like Iraq?
As i said, context matters, also scrap sanctions, just stop buying their oil.
We had sanctions on them before we went to war with them. This argument has been had already. You know exactly what’s going to happen. You’re either being intentionally daft or can’t remember things that happened 20 years ago.
As i said, no sanctions, just stop buying their oil.
Ok fine but how dare you deny the people heir only source of revenue.
There is always someone, somewhere bitching about it. Deal with it.
And most people blamed the US for leaving people under Saddam when they rose to fight him, should had finished the job back in 1991, when the US has unanimous support for it.
So we should have gone back in 2003
