Uriah Hall had slight heart attack and mini-seizure?!

So he said he did make weight, then said the doctor told him if he did make weight he'd die.

So did he or didn't he? And if he did why isn't he dead?

And why does he just "think" he had a heart attack and seizure instead of getting it diagnosed?

So many questions about this statement

This cutting weight shit is pretty horrible, especially when fighting on TUF with like 3 fights in less than 2 months.

Do high level wrestlers cut 15-25 lbs like this on average for competition?

But Hall was on TUF and made weight for all his fights and looked better than he ever has. Must have put on even more size in the last few years

Which is... let's just say a very odd move for a guy in his position

Maybe that's your pint but isn't what you wrote.
Lol, how literal does a point have to be to get across to you ?

I said the guy cuts enough weight to almost die, and you can’t make a connection between that statement and him moving up in weight

He was obviously younger back then, but w/o even needing to debate such factors....how does allowing such massive weight cutting to be usual & customary for pretty much, every fighter for every fight, not be extremely dangerous. I wonder if women like Cyborg can even have children later?

IV bags are not good for rehydration. It's not a good way of rehydrating, your body will be compromised.

Uh, WTF? It's even called "INTRAVENOUS REHYDRATION". It feels great after cutting weight.

There was a recent scientific study on the subject that showed rapid re-hydration with IVs after being dehydrated has detrimental effects to your performance and body.

who are you paying to do it and how are you verifying it's legit? USADA costs a shit ton of money for a reason. College wrestling has "hydration tests" and weight checks now, do you think high end programs have any type of accountability for those "tests". It's like assuming D1 football stars are attending class and passing tests on their own.
This is a 4 billion plus dollar entity, they'd find a weigh (pun intended). It wouldn't cost near as much as USADA as there is no sample testing.

It would, you're sending people on flights all over the world even more often than USADA

Wait, im confused?!? How can you make weight if you fail to make it to the scale?? lol

Hall is quickly earning his stripes in the discipline of not knowing de wey.

I haven't taken the time to figure out a cheap system but it is doable.

What about having fighters arrive 10 days ahead of the fight instead of 6 or 7? Weigh them everyday.

I'm just spit balling, a system could be developed with input from all stakeholders.

Can you post the link? And is it just ONE study or many? Until it's widely accepted, it doesn't mean much and you can't just go by that 1 study.

Man, he's prob. just saying that he was severely fucked up and can't fight; so going to the weigh ins would have been a waste of everyone's time....unless you think that a "mini-seisure" or "slight heart attack" is no big deal and he should have toughed it out, haha.

Crazy stuff. Cutting to have a size advantage isn't worth death. Surprised it doesn't happen more often.

NFL players get IVs at halftime if needed.

To me, weight cutting is a type of cheating.

Youre fighting for the 155 lb belt and you should have to be 155 or less before the fight...period

Never understood why 2 guys who walk around at 190+ are fighting for the 155 belt
