"Unsubstantiated accusation of steroids and PEDs is fighter bashing"

Just wondering if that is still a rule?

Does that include "everyone is on steroids" and "all fighters do it"?

Can we get some clarity on this? Does posting a picture of a fighter and claiming that picture is evidence of steroid accusation = substantiated accusation?

Just wondering.

its kinda like eye pokes and fence grabs at this point

Look at how many threads there are on Sherdog accusing GSP of juicing.

I think that answers your question....

It's all silly. To not talk about PEDs in today's MMA or to not mention who you suspect is silly. We can talk about who we suspect of being a cheater, a bad father, a bad friend, a financial fuck up, mentally unstable..... ANYTHING...... EXCEPT the suspicion that they take PEDs.

Why only PEDs? And where would such policing stop? What about not being allowed to say ANYTHING bad about a fighter? We could make them guest accounts so they could log in and read 100% pure praise from the "fans".

Finally, we could replace the human posters on this site with bots who all praise fighters all the time. And everyone's happy!

I think the fighter bashing rule was put in place because a number of fighters used to post here and shertards would be massive cunt keyboard warriors to them, so it was put in place so that fighters wouldn't leave.

That ship has long since sailed.

the thing is common sense tells us certain people are doing them especially the girls because of their jawline for one but anyway without a failed drug test they can not be accused because nobody knows for a fact. It's like on this forum you say something about gay people and all these idiots will start saying you are gay and afraid of whatever the hell and I am not gay and if I am not gay by now I will never be but some of the people in this forum knows more about me than i do. My point is these people going off speculation should be banned not yellow carded because starting a rumor that could cause somebody to miss paying rent next month is unacceptable in my opinion. It is all cookies and cream because it is not them the mud is thrown at.

Ban speculation

I heard you were gay.....

I'm curious too.....this was strictly enforced back in the day.

I have been on /r MMA a lot lately.....MMA knowledge is way stronger here but at least you can talk about steroids openly there.

The original idea was to make it more welcoming for fighters to come here and chat because Sherdog was considered to be the 4chan of the MMA world as contrasted with the UG where they all pretend to be John Danaher's mentor and only post wearing a tux and monocle.

But the fighters barely came. Ironically on Reddit where people are dumb as fuck and they talk about steroids, fighters have accounts and post regularly and even make threads. Best is Carwin.

Fighter bashing not being permitted is one of the most absurd rules ever.
They can get beaten to a pulp in a cage but we can't say some mean words otherwise we hurt their fee-fees?
I understand bashing them is bullshit but I also understand being able to say negative things about them bc they out them selves in the situation. Don't call a fighter a pussy ever no matter what happens but if you feel they quit or got destroyed or is a can go ahead call them on it but pussy or bitch no no no.

The biggest distinction between fighter bashing or not, which I can say, is that it is one thing to think a fighter uses steroids, but it's another to say you have an inside source that a fighter is taking steroids. Just stay within reason.

Weak thread by somebody who needs a safe space. Support forum exists for a reason.

Exactly. Saying a fighter sucks was enough to get you dubbed back in the day. All other sports forums bash players and shit.

This is a public forum, if you can't expect strong opinions then go somewhere else. If someone is obviously trolling thats different. But oh well a lot of UFC fighters have been busted in recent years and USADA has changed so much on how we think about fighters, so its part of the course now.

Too many fighters have popped and too many fighters say the use of PEDs in MMA is extremely high to ignore it.

A post I made a while ago:

Top fighters have been or still are using PEDs. The evidence is multiple top fighters coming out and saying so. Nate Diaz became the meme for it but others have said it too. Sonnen was asked in 2015 to estimate the number of top fighters on PEDs and he said he'd guess 100%. Dan Hardy, Sam Alvey, Matt Serra, Stun Gun Kim... have all named a very high percentage as well.. I don't believe it's bottom heavy meaning the low ranked guys are the ones increasing the percentage.

People say USADA is cleaning it up but then why are so many people popping for something and getting suspended? I don't believe they're scratching the surface in catching guys yet.

It makes sense to not allow it. Steroids discussions are usually side shows ending in stalemates with neither pro or against opinions making any difference. There is very little to use for argument when a fighter hasn't been caught. It is like heresay in a courtroom.

This is because the tests are expensive and lower ranked guys don't get tested as often.

Almost everybody who has been suspected of being a juicehead turned out to be a juicehead.

Accounts that were banned for speculation need to be unbanned when the suspect fighter gets busted. To think that longtime posters got banned because they speculated that fighters like Sonnen and Overeem were using is crazy.
