Unsigned Heavyweights - Thread Four

Anyone got a video/gif of the Evgeny Erokhin - Richard Odoms KO a couple of weeks ago?

Gooch continuing the trend of heavyweights that get better with age. He's on an impressive streak.

Gooch's age is a shame. He seems like a very decent HW if he was 10yrs younger, a couple more wins would probably get him a shot in the UFC.

Gooch does not look or fight like a guy who is 41. I would not blame the UFC at all if they gave him a shot.

Hopefully Rebello realizes he should be at LHW.

Junior Albini defeated Jose Rodrigo Guelke by unanimous decision.

For a division that in my opinion gets unfairly shit on constantly, that's a very impressive list with great depth and intel TS. It's good to know that the heavyweight division has some promise ahead. I'm thinking the heavyweight division will improve greatly very soon. It's seemingly much deeper than the light heavyweight division.

Pat Walsh got a quick rear-naked choke win over Leroy Johnson this past weekend. He made it look easy. Johnson just didn't have anything for Walsh's shots. Walsh probably belongs at 205, but if he can keep racking up wins at Heavyweight, someone will definitely give him another chance at either weight.

I was able to get the fight to show up through this link, not sure if it'll work for everyone.

Walsh isn't a bad fighter really but he really pissed off the UFC I reckon by a) being boring as hell on TUF/in his win at the finale then b) missing weight by around 29lbs when he tried fighting at middleweight, then lost said middleweight fight in embarrassingly boring fashion.

Beating Johnson is a good win, though!

Evgeny Erokhin vs Emanuel Newton S-70 Russia August 21st

WSOF-GC let their champ take this difficult fight outside the company...

Steve Mowry will be making his pro debut at Titan FC 41. The #1 Amateur on Paul Ls list could be getting a quick push with a few wins.

Could barely find any HW fights this weekend:

Emmanuel Newton (26-10) vs. Evgeny Erokhin (15-4) - Plotforma S-70
Aleksandr Dankov (2-1) vs. Daniels Riekstins (2-1) - Plotforma S-70
------
Isaac Eddings (3-0 Am) vs. Michael DiOrio (3-0 Am) - Art of Combat Sports

Eugh, rough weekend.
The Newton/Erokhin fight is pretty decent, though.
