Underrated acting performances

Bob Hoskins in Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Loved that movie as a kid and rewatched it a couple years ago, it's a great movie overall, but one thing that stood out to me was Hoskins' performance. I swear it really seems like he's interacting with these cartoons the whole time.
I didn't know he was British for like 20 years. His American accent was so damn good.

I was surprised Bale was never nominated for his work in American Psycho

Jean Simmons vs. Patrick Stewart.

Emmy worthy shit right hurr..

No one talks a lot about what an amazing actress Jean Simmons is.

And Doc Holiday in Tombstone.

He was also in a great movie called Thuderheart back in the day.

ITT I realised that Val Kilmer is a bad mofo with a dope body of work.

So we're just gonna pretend Real Genius isn't a cult classic?

I always felt Joe Pesci to be underrated. We see his maniacally violent gangsters and smart-mouthed "guy from the old neighborhood" roles but then there's this...

And this...

That second clip is from With Honors, which featured great work by the oft-underrated Brendan Fraser as well.

The bar scene with Fassbender (that pretty much made him in Hollywood) and the opening scene with Waltz in the cabin.

You could comfortably skip the rest heh.
The opening scene is great and fake Italian accent scene is hilarious.

This person only nominated one time in the academy award
