UN draft resolution on Syria attack: Vote fails with Russia veto, China abstains

So russia has just vetoed the full investigation they themselves called on to happen before

I expected them to vote yes right after they returned Crimea <cheer>
 
It was a joke resolution to begin with.

It was essentially blaming Assad for the attack without evidence n justifying USA aggression against Syria.

That + Syrian army has to fully cooperate with investigation, while rebels not so much

Nope it called on all parties to condemn attack and co operate
If forced the syrian regime and its militas to work with investagation team and not obstruct access
Anhar Al sham has already offered full access and protection to any teams or journalists that wanna vist the attack site

Id say at this stage russia should be treated like north korea
-Ramp up sanctions

-have sites block anyone with russian ip adress to block putinbots

-ban rt today ....ww2 showed us the dangers of propaganda ,laws set in place after should never have been relaxed

-meet russia at their own games...if syria is all about 'killing terrorists' Bomb hezbollah and other terror listed pro regime militas ....and kill solemoni next time he pops his head up thats just a waste of a good oppertunity!

-arms deals to baltic states...good for us arms industry and good for the baltics to protect themselves
Also huge arms boost to ukraine

Baltics are already being armed and having long term NATO attachments stationed, what is so mega lol about that?

No surprises with this. The ruskies drafted their own version, but it is unknown as to whether they'll propose it or not.

Same shit will happen. We'll talk about chemical weapons responses, Putin will tell Assad to chill with that shit, we'll go about our typical business in Syria, maintain the communication line as well. Meanwhile they are setting up parties to talk about tough issues between US and Russia.

At least both sides want good relations, and have said so publicly yesterday. The Russians have also said they aren't all-in with the Assad personality, so the door to political change with them leading the way in the future is still ajar.

They do say that results won't come quickly, but we acknowledge that as well.

Them being armed sound like they are actual the armed ones not sending a few troops that woudl honestly amount to nothing if shooting ever started. Arming them against Russia is one hell of an attempt at futility.
