JoJo v Calvillo is an interesting matchup. I'm thinking Calderwood decision? CC has the higher ceiling obvs but this is the deep end of the pool for sure.
idk, but fight in scotland is relevant
jojo cuts too much weight and already has 125 on her mind. i wouldn't be surprise to see cynthia get another submission win.
i'm intrigued for lines on pantoja/seery and khalil/craig.
i pray to get ponz at +200 or better.
Ponz already +175 so you will propably get what you wish for
yeah i think money will come in on gunnar but i favour ponz here.
1u Ponz +190
1u Ponz as initial thought. Fading Paul Craig as well.
How do we see the Nelson/Ponzinibbio fight playing out?
Ponz looking good and then something weird happens and he taps? Isn't that most Nelson fights?
Not gonna look to bet Nelson though, think Ponz might have all the value. Have to think a bit about the over/under thought.
I'm still not sold on Nelsons stand up, so if Ponz can keep it standing he should have a good chance to get this one.
Godbeer vs Willis was called off a while ago, its actually James Mulheron vs Willis. Mulheron is a local guy from near me, currently 11-1 with his only loss coming due to a leg injury in the 3rd round. He's a tough guy with a short stature, he's only 5'10 or 5'9 with a stocky frame, he has decent TDD meaning it's gonna be hard for the 6'3 Willis to get him down. His cardio is pretty good for someone his size, also fairly high volume for a fat HW. Will be on him at anything below -130.
Also I follow him on social media and he's taking this very seriously, looks to be training really hard, I have faith in my fellow geordie however it could just be bias.
I enjoyed Mulheron's fights on YouTube quite a bit. Not your average hulking hw. He seems pretty tireless and high volume for sure. Good to know about the leg injury against Wulf.
Yeah that was a couple of years ago now, I'm pretty sure he was winning the fight up until that point too, iirc he actually broke his leg. He's a fun guy to watch who's fairly light on his feet considering his size, he could definitely cause problems for Willis with the pace.
Fight against Neil Wain was good too. Mulherron seems both durable and gutsy.
Does 5 rounds benefit gunnie or ponz more?
I'm gonna say Ponz, and here's why:
Gunnar is most likely gonna try to get it to the mat. If he does, I'm not sure Ponz survives it. Depends on the situation, etc. obviously. Ponz isn't lost like Tumenov is on the mat, but he'll be out of his league against Gunnar there. BUT if Ponz sprawl n brawl is working, it's most likely gonna be Gunnar expending more energy trying for TD's than Ponz stuffing them. Probably. Generally, it takes more out of you to pursue the TD and be unsuccessful than to stuff them. If this thing hits rd 4 and Ponz has been stuffing Gunnar's TD's and getting the better of it standing to any degree, I think Gunnar is gonna be the one looking tired.
In other words, if Gunnar is successful implementing his gameplan, most likely cardio won't play a huge role. It will just be the fact he's the far better grappler. But Ponz being successful with his gameplan early could make it much easier for him to be successful with it late. Hope that makes sense.
In my opinion Gunnie, he fought before 5 rounds against Rick Story
Yes and slowed down considerably late. Granted, completely different style of fighter in Story but still.
