UFC - Released fighters and problems with inconsistency

an NFL team can cut a player whenever they choose. all fighters are INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS. their contracts can be terminated at the discretion of the contract holder.

UFC and most corporations could save themselves a lot of BS by not pretending to have principles outside of making money. We know why Daley, Sobral, and Miguel were axed and not Conor or Jon. If the UFC were more honest about needle moving like they are when fighters want more money..there wouldn’t be a need for “A-ha, you guys are all about the money” posts like this. Yes, it’s all about the money.

Yeah it's almost like wme is a for profit company who have weighed the effect this incident has had on their public image against the incredible earning potential Conor brings to the table.

there is a precedent, no matter how flimsy, for the UFC to drop/not sign guys who've been outed as domestic abusers...

yeah, I remember a guy who was cut from the UFC just hours prior to his fight because 4 YEARS BEFORE he had domestic violence issues
