In the modern days of MMA having a tournament where the same fighter has to fight multiple times is obviously out of the table. Too many injuries and too many replacements to think of it as a legit tournament. However, they could create country teams and have them fight one by one defining the "best country of MMA". For example: Team USA, Team Russia, Team Mexico, Team Sweden. (of course there could be more teams) and they could easily be organized inside of the UFC. 1. Select a weight class for the tournament - 170lbs for example. 2. Have 5 fighters of that weight class present from each team. 3. Randomly choose a team that gets to pick the first fight. If team Sweden wins, they can pick to fight against someone from Team Russia, or even that Team Russia fight Team Mexico. After every fight, the winning team picks the next fight. 4. All fights are 1 on 1 fights and a fighter can fight multiple times if the team choose so. 5. The winning team members get a UFC International Team Championship belt. This doesn't even necessarily have to be International teams, it could be Gym vs Gym too (like they did on one of the TUF seasons and it was a good concept). Could be held once a year. There would be a lot of fights in the tournament, possibly close to a hundred or even more depending on the amount of teams or gyms. Therefore I suggest the rounds be 2x3min that goes to a third round if there is no decision after the final bell.
