You may be aghast at the reality that boxing midcarders are making millions a year while top UFC fighters would be lucky to even get $1 million a year on a good streak in the prime of their careers. But they are being compensated in accordance with their skill level. UFC fighters are at best 10% as skilled as the top rung of boxers, so they get paid at best 10% of what top boxers get paid. Don't believe me? Just keep watching UFC fighters getting flattened by Youtube influencers in boxing then.

who are these boxing midcarders making millions a year?

Famous midcard journeymen like Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua, Floyd Mayweather, and Canelo, of course!

MMAs gonna be catching up to boxing as the years go on, due to the ratio of kids at mma gyms now vs boxing gyms making the talent pool disparity smaller. Ngannou vs Joshua talent wise isn't even a comparison. Likewise Mcgregor vs Terrence Crawford.

Someone like Usyk has been through the grinder of the deep amateur and pro system and came out on top.

The only guys going through the grinder like that from the previous/current generation of top MMA guys are team khabib, as Abdulmanap made them go through the sambo/judo etc system before MMA.
