UFC Fight Night Fresno Pay-Outs: Marlon Moraes Tops Payroll

Moraes must feel really confident that he'll be champion since he took a pay cut compared. In WSOF his base pay was 90k.
Yeah I figured he would take a pay cut from WSOF but $73/73k is still pretty good. And I'm not sure that WSOF could have continued to pay Moraes those numbers (probably similar with Gaethje).

"nice pay day" = 76,000 to fight after 13 years in the sport and being in the UFC's top 10 @ FW for 6 years? Lmao fuck off.
exactly.
Anyone who thinks this is great pay is being fooled.
This card generated millions for TV and overseas broadcasts, building up future cards etc....
All to give the main attractions we tune in to watch a paltry fraction. Disgusting unchecked greed allowed by dumb fans who can't figure out finances.

how much you think he keeps after paying his coaches and all that?

$10,000 a fight, if you get 3 fights done in a year you make $30,000. You can make that sitting in an office selling car insurance.
Well not everyone likes selling car insurance.. But if you're only making 10k per fight it means you're losing so you probably wont be doing it for long anyways.

I don't like when a single fighter receive POTN and FOTN, they should give him the POTN to another guy
Even more when the bonus goes to. Main eventer and the FP prelims guys are making 10/10

That's true. And he'll get to fight more often in the UFC as well.

Marlon has great management. Got himself a good contract. If he continues to win while his contract comes up for renewal he is going to make some big bucks per fight.

He is a potential superstar in the making. They have to keep him motivated and happy.

hopefully at least keeps $150 k
I would think so. Probably say 5-7 percent to management and another 5-7 percent to coaching. At the very most I'd THINK he's losing 15-20 percent of his purse and that already seems like a lot but I don't know all that much about those sorts of things.

alexis davis made more than most of the men.

ufc is sexist

He deserves it after that KO, that was a monster finish.

Still can’t believe Sterling started to dab after being KO’d. Amazing stuff.

I remember reading some stuff from a few diff fighters throughout the years and basically I think the # was close to 20% is gone right away due to the training/coaching/management etc.

Nice to see Swanson get a nice pay day even though he lost, and it was the last fight on his contract. Should leave him in a position where he's not in a hurry to take whatever is offered.

Future Bellator champ.

The payouts are pathetic...

But then 90% of Sherbros are complaining about money fights, lol. Of course these fighters are positioning themselves for money fights at all costs, they are risking brain damage for peanuts.

Go to trade school and become a plumber or electrician if you can't be an engineer like Carwin instead of fighting. The god damn HW champ has to be a firefighter to supplement his income. Get a fucking union in this sport and take the power away from that prick Dana.

To get fair, would I rather work in an office 5 days a week for a full year to earn $30,000 OR get the same money to train MMA, workout and then get to go in front of a screaming crowd and do what I love. Sees like an easy choice.

Pretty crazy that ortega could potentially have come away with 29k and instead he ended up with 158k. Wait, wut?!
