They just said it was a one time thing. these mother............
wow nice troll job ts... not $59.99 its $59.95 seriously this should be a bannable offense
Sweet, the collective rage from this is gonna make for some great reading.
Kinda beat though.
Just looked to confirm... perhaps this was an error? It would be really odd if they specifically announced to the press it was a one-time increase and then charged that amount for the next 3 PPV events in a row ...
Averaging just 400,000 buys would give the greedy bastards an extra $2 million an event.
Too bad they only average like 250k buys now
They realized that the people who pay for the ppv will pay for them no matter what.
That's why they increased the price. They can't get more people to buy so they slightly increase because they know the loyal fans who always buy PPVs will still buy them. In the long run, it'll lead to a profit. Econ 101 bitch.
It's always been that price where I'm at.
Haven't checked, they may have raised it higher.
This is the UFC's marketing / business ploy to bring in new fans to the sport during GSP's hiatus. They are scrambling, folks.
I'll be watching it at the bar anyway, but yeah, hopefully that goes to the fighters. Probably won't though.
I'm thinking between these 3 it'll be higher. Ufc 168 is gonna bring that number up
ufc.tv has been $54.99 in the USA up until now
I know you don't mean that as them getting 100% of the revenue from PPV buys
because they don't, and that would be a lie
Damn this sucks, I don't thin we will ever see 54.99 again guys, straight lied to but Dana will just say get a couple guys to chip in to make up the 5 bucks. Buffalo wild wings every fight for me I guess
What price increase are you guys talking about? Hasn't it always been 59.99?
Fine by me, I never buy their crappy ppvs. Put on some good events and I might think about it.
Actually it's 423,000 so far in 2013.
