Conor has stated his next fight will be in MMA. Fact.
Conor wants a fight in Russia. Fact.
Dana’s words point to a Conor return in September in Russia. Fact

The odds of him coming back in September are far higher than him never returning at all so it isn’t short sighted and it isn’t holding up a division. The top guys will all still fight. You are just mad it isn’t going the way you want it.

The sport is fine, the brand is fine, at best it’s a vocal minority of hardcore sherdog fans that are butthurt about this.

Dana's words are generally not fact, Conor has made other claims that did not prove to be factual.
Don't retort to becoming childish and calling people "butthurt" simply because we see the sport as being more important than one fighter.

Why have the top fight guys if there is no consequence , yes it is all about money you're right about that, but it is not good the sport.
We'll see if Conor returns to fight , but when does enough become enough ?.

Exactly. When your champ voluntarily dodged fights for two years hoping contenders knock each other off and fall down the totem pole, it is an issue.

Let’s say he doesn’t fight for 3 years. When is the acceptable cut off point for him to keep dodging fights. So ridiculous that others even support this.

Dana and Conor have said those things. Meaning they actually exist in black and white and I can find those words and record of them having said that. That’s what makes them fact. You saying Conor is never fighting again is speculation. There’s the difference.

And to answer your question “enough becomes enough” when the risk outweighs the reward.

In terms of this it would be stupid to do anything else. This way they get a big fight in Tony vs khabib, reach a deal with Conor and have a massive fight in Russia vs the winner. The fans get two huge fights, the UFC gets two huge pay days.

Without question it is. The money they stand to make from having the eventual unification bout in Russia vs Brooklyn is ridiculous. If khabib wins the interim belt, the PPV and gate record get broken again. Russia will go bananas.
 
What a crock. I hope the Ferguson camp was smart enough to make sure he's well compensated for this bout.
