    That was I

    Its about 30%

If they break even on PPV in 2017 (they will profit), UFC still generates $100m in profit
That is why the company went up in value on a bad year.

Maybe it’s the PPV model that needs to change. Both UFC and boxing have had terrible numbers with some some of the most talented fighters they have over the last couple of years. It’s tough to build a star when only 100,000 households are seeing their biggest fights.

mm is a negative draw, the ppv would have easily cleared 200k if they weren't weighted down by the manlets

They need to bring in someone from pro wrestling. Someone young that can fight. Feed him cans for a year or two. Untill he can fight the regular guys. You can rarely build stars in a sport where the best fight the best all the time. They need to feed their potential stars cans for a while. Learn a little from boxing. The Era of the sporting brand is over now is the Era of the stars. And UFC needs to learn matchmaking from boxing. Eubank Jr is the second biggest star in the UK and he was built very slowly and he is ready and has become a world class fighter.

Why was Stamann - Duquesnoy the main fight on the prelims? I had never heard of these two before watching them fight and I can't say I'm looking forward to watching them again. Vannata vs Green was an awesome fight with two guys that most fans and some casuals know of and fireworks were guaranteed. Not that it would have helped the PPV, but it's just weird they weren't the prelim headliner.

I am very surprised that the PPV is doing so badly. It had one great fight (Ferguson - Lee) and one decent one (Werdum vs a random guy). A bit surprising that a shit talkers like Ferguson and Lee weren't able to sell more and also that the former HW champ was fighting. It's like every PPV MM is on is tainted to sell bad no matter who's on the card.

I like to think that I would buy the PPV if atleast half the money went to fighters. But i aint giving my 60 to people who are already billionaires.

I am a little more optimistic about Bellator then. It's a lot younger and still feels bush league, but it's getting better.

The MM haters are desperate now. MM wasn't even the headliner Ferguson vs. Lee was and now all of a sudden it's MM's fault. To add to that only a handful of fighters are draws anyway. In general all PPV's are downward trending aside from a handful of fighters in general.

not implying it was merely Tate, but the collection of Tate, Lesnar, Anderson Silva, and the UFC 200 name.
merely saying that Nunes should not be given credit for the 1M+ buy shows been on, and that the estimated 100k for UFC 215 is a more accurate estimate of her selling power.

UFC screwed up by overselling these few megastars like Conor and Ronda, because now both casuals and hardcores are conditioned to only pay for "money fights". 5 years ago, even mediocre PPVs could manage 300 - 400k buys, but now look.

Also worth mentioning that PPV is dying as a model. 4 - 6 stacked PPVs per year should be the new norm.
