I don't know how but five episodes into season 3, THE MAGICIANS just became one of the best shows on TV right now.

    Wow.

Alice is also doing something weird to my pants every week.

SJW Liberal bullshit. One of the awesome thing about the 90's was it was ok to be politically incorect at times.

I thought the Mighty Ducks TV thing was a joke. It might be entertaining if they can ride the line between humor and seriousness, but do we really need another show about teenagers trying to juggle the resposibilities of their social lives and preparing for their futures as they come of age?

Wake me up when the Witcher TV show drops.

Hannah Simone Cast as the Lead in ABC's GREATEST AMERICAN HERO Reboot

ABC has found its Greatest American Hero in Hannah Simone. The actress, who has starred on Fox's New Girl for the past seven seasons, was a hot commodity this pilot season — fielding multiple offers before ultimately selecting the lead in the update of the short-lived 1980s comedy.

The project, being shepherded by Fresh Off the Boat showrunner Nahnatchka Kahn, received a pilot order just two weeks ago. The half-hour comedy follows Meera (Simone), a 30-year-old Cleveland woman whose talents include drinking tequila, singing karaoke and not much else. All that changes when some aliens entrust her with a super suit to protect the planet.

Fresh Off the Boat writer-producer Rachna Fruchbom wrote the script and will serve as executive producer alongside Khan, Mandy Summers and original series creator Stephen J. Cannell's daughter, TV director Tawnia McKiernan. The project hails from 20th Century Fox Television, where Khan's Fierce Baby banner is based. (ABC Studios will serve as co-producer.)

The original Greatest American Hero was an hourlong drama — despite the comedic premise. It aired on ABC from 1981-83, with William Katt as the lead.

Simone comes to the pilot after seven years on New Girl and roles in films such as Killing Gunther, Band Aid, Flock of Dudes and Old Boy.

Cyborg Actor Ray Fisher Joins TRUE DETECTIVE Season 3 as a Series Regular

HBO is rounding out the cast for the third season of Nic Pizzolatto’s HBO crime series True Detective. Ray Fisher (Justice League) has been added as a series regular, joining previously set Mahershala Ali, Carmen Ejogo, Stephen Dorff, Scoot McNairy and Mamie Gummer.

Additionally, Rhys Wakefield (The Purge), Michael Greyeyes (Fear the Walking Dead) and The Closer alum Jon Tenney have been cast in recurring roles on Season 3 of the anthology drama.

The next installment of True Detective tells the story of a macabre crime in the heart of the Ozarks, and a mystery that deepens over decades and plays out in three separate time periods.

Fisher will play Freddy Burns, Wayne’s (Ali) son. Wakefield, Greyeyes and Tenney will play recurring characters Henry Hays, Brett Woodard and Alan Jones, respectively, with no additional information provided about them.

As with the breakout original installment of True Detective, Pizzolatto is the sole writer of the third season with the exception of Episode 4, which he co-wrote with David Milch. Jeremy Saulnier is the Season 3 director alongside Pizzolatto, who will make his directorial debut.

Pizzolatto, who also serves as showrunner, executive produces with Saulnier and returning executive producers Scott Stephens; Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson, who toplined Season 1; Cary Joji Fukunaga, who directed Season 1; along with Scott Stephens, Steve Golin, Bard Dorros and Richard Brown.

Maybe they can bury the hatchet and bond over how much of a bitch the girl from the first movie was.

Didn’t she dump Dany boy for a college jock after six months in the sequel?

Thanks for the heads up, brah.

I like it when "alright" shows randomly become awesome and I've been meaning to get caught up with this. TV has been a little stale recently.

I gave up midway through season 2 but I might give it another chance because I can't find anything decent on TV at the moment.
