Turkish cleric: men without beards are like women, provoke "indecent thoughts."

He sounds like he belongs in the Alternative lifestyle block of a prison for eating man ass.

And when facts ARE shown people still bury their fucking head's in the sand so what's the point? Ultimately any political discussion on the internet is a joke, I just always end up here with the SB NFL threads are slow because I am bored.

Here's the facts as I see it, there are things in Muslim religious texts (the Hadith, Quar'an to a lesser degree) that advocate violence on different groups of people... Hadith's mention shit about homosexuals being killed (honestly don't know the details), point is you can show people the excerpts of said texts and they'll still bury their heads in the sand making donkey noises about how you're wrong.

I don't like the fact that you don't care if people are posting deliberate misnformation and I don't understand it, either. No one is coming here for a life-changing experience, but there are literally no positive things about this forum if it's just a receptacle for complete ignorance.

I come here to learn and many other people do, too. I come here to hear insights from people who do have educated opinions. If you are coming here to shitpost when you're bored I can understand your opinion, but that doesn't fit the ideas I've seen you post. I've never thought of you as one of the shitposters: you continually post things that are thoughtful. And if that's how you shitpost when you're bored... well, that just shows how far the level of discourse has fallen here.

I don't come here to shitpost but the thing is with Islam and guns to a lesser degree, this subsection is utterly ridiculous in my experience. I get not wanting someone to post misinformation but said things posted may not be 100% true but to completely ignore it like a lot do (not necessarily you) and just go "that's misinformation blah" is disingenuous IMO.

A now banned member got into it with me about the ideas of Islam talking about killing infidels/non-believers and homosexuals and I went and fucking photocopied and scanned said passages from my formerly a Muslim friend's religious texts.... said banned poster, accused me of forging the damn things.

EDIT:
If I was shitposting you'd know it... mine usually consists of hoping for NFL players or coaches to get hit by a bus or have their testicles shot off with shotguns... or in the case of Ted Thompson getting Old Yeller'd

Again, I'm not arguing that they don't execute "gay" men. How many pedophiles do they execute a year? See if you can find that, since we both acknowledge that pedophilia is a massive problem in the region, correct?
We were talking about the "dancing boys" and pederasty. In the article I linked it mentioned an execution of a man for having sex with a boy in Saudi Arabia.
Iran is much the same, although depending on the age of those involved they will actually execute them for pedophilia, rape, sodomy or vague crimes like "disruption of public order". The same was true in Afghanistan prior to the Taliban being ousted. They don't have statistics available.

I do wonder though how much "looking away" is done in those regions when the perpetrator is some high ranking official though. Something akin to Cardinals and Bishops getting caught with altar boys.

Not sure, although I know the Madrasas in Pakistan have been notorious for harbouring pedophiles. Their requirement for evidence is pretty high. In the story I linked to about pedophiles hung in Iran, they had recorded themselves abusing a boy.

If some form of God exists I wish he'd fucking just hit CTRL+ALT+Delete that section of the world and start over.

This is how lazy you are: sex with underage children is a rampant problem in certain Islamic countries, especially countries engaging in slavery I've posted so many articles on this. I once started a thread about how ISIS actually had to release raping guidelines to their followers because of the atrocities they were committing to their sex slaves, which include children. This is also how lazy you are: gay porn is the number one type of porn watched in many Muslim countries.

ROFL. Oh boy, ARTICLES?!?!?! Damn, son, let me back up. It's a rampant problem across the Middle East. It's problem in almost every Muslim Majority country. Your entire life experience with this subject comes from reading articles on the internet and you actually have the audacity to call other people "lazy". I spent almost 2 years living in the Middle East. It's a problem in Iraq. It's a problem in Kuwait. It's a problem in Saudi Arabia. This what I hate about sheltered little Americans. You actually think you know some shit because you read an article on it.

Which means that there is plenty of evidence out there to back up your claims, if you actually would have gone looking for it. But you didn't, because you're only interested in shitposting. You were pressured into posting actual Koran verses, but would obviously have much rather just post your garbage thoughts and say, "everyone knows this", "in my experience this is indisputable", "you obviously are uninterested in information", etc.

So here's what's going on: you're just posting shit that you've picked up from your alt-right circle jerks on reddit, 4chan, voat or wherever. You have no idea how much of it is true, but you bring it back to Sherdog along with the shittiest ideas from the biggest fucktards on the internet ("you're defending sleeping with 9-year-old children!").

Go find actual sources for what you're saying instead of getting pissy that people aren't just swallowing the bullshit you're spewing like they do in your The_Donald echo chamber. Because there is some merit to what you're saying, but your head is so far up your ass you have no idea what has merit and what is just rabid fucktards using homosexuality to attack Islam because they don't like either

LOL, this is what I love about folks like you. You are so lacking in any sort of real world experience that you actually NEED to read other people's opinion based articles to believe it's fact, then have the audacity to accuse other people of living in an echo chamber. I wasn't "pressured" into doing anything, that's what you don't seem to get. I knew it was in there, because I read the Koran. I've read the Hadiths. That's good enough for me.I didn't feel the need to find the exact verbage and post it for people like you who haven't read the actual religious source material (what was that about being lazy again?) but seem to want to run their mouths contantly. This post was so lacking in any sort of introspection that I'm actually embarrassed for you. Oh @JosephDredd did you read an article? Did you post a link? I'm so super happy for you. Did you possibly tweet about it or maybe post it to your facebook page? Did you ever possibly think about reading the fucking Koran while you were at it so you wouldn't have to ask me for the Koranic verses I was talking about and waste a bunch of time? Or, maybe next time I could just read your post, write my response into some sort of a blog post and then post the link as a reply? Would that make you feel better? P.S., I like how the fact that you accused me of "shitposting" despite the fact that you've done nothing but send shitposts my way for most of the afternoon is lost on you. Go lie down for a little while little kid, I think you might have hurt yourself.

Did you read your own link? Because this is what I've been talking about the whole time. @nac386, pay attention here:

This is surprising enough. But what seems more startling, at least from a Western perspective, is that some of the men having sex with other men don’t consider themselves gay. For many Saudis, the fact that a man has sex with another man has little to do with “gayness.” The act may fulfill a desire or a need, but it doesn’t constitute an identity. Nor does it strip a man of his masculinity, as long as he is in the “top,” or active, role. This attitude gives Saudi men who engage in homosexual behavior a degree of freedom. But as a more Westernized notion of gayness—a notion that stresses orientation over acts—takes hold in the country, will this delicate balance survive?

This is an attitude that is rampant throught the Middle East, and it is why saying something like "Most Muslims engage in this type of behavior" isn't a stretch. These men don't see themselves as gay. This is something that is a normal thing within the culture, and these people aren't executed for it. Only men who are "exclusively" homosexuals are normally executed for it. Same thing with Pedophilia. they're fulfilling a need, little more. That's why it is accepted. This is literally what I've been saying the entire time. A google search of the last time a man actually exectued in Saudi Arabia for pedophilia will turn up one case from 2009, a man named Muhammed Basheer al-Ramaly, who was kidnapping children, assaulting them and one, a three year old boy, he left to die in the desert. That's what he was executed for, doing something that is considered morally reprehensible in any culture.

That was a fantastic effort on your part. I think with a bit of effort we can discourage fucktards like him from shitposting up the forums.

At the bare minimum, I want a forum that doesn't make me dumber every time I visit.

Yes, news articles and sources. The way scholars have been able to discern between actual information and slobbering bullshit for hundreds of years.

I know you view it as the enemy, but understand this is the reason why you get called out on your idiotic posts all the time. You make shit up with no correlation to reality and then get upset when people treat you like you might have something intelligent to offer.

ROFL. Got it, you're a scholar.

Let me break it down for you agian.... really..... slowly...... my "idiotic posts".... come from my own.... personal.... experience..... from.... actually... .living..... in... a ...... Muslim.... Country..... for almost 2 years...... Actually knowing and understanding the religion, and the people and how it affects their every day life...... having read the Koran and all of the Hadiths...... and yours comes from...... Op Eds....... largely written by people like you who haven't been there or read any of the religious source material.... you are then mad at me for not in turn posting links to Op Eds that you can read...... that you then claim is "actual information" and claiming that I'm an "Idiot" and "information is my enemy".... did I get all of that right?

Bullshit "most muslims engage in this type of behaviour". Most Muslims aren't even in the Middle East. It doesn't matter whether they have a Western "Gay" identity, that's not what is prohibited or punished. It's men having sex with men. They aren't usually charged with "being gay", they are charged with various crimes like rape, paedophilia, sexual deviation etc. The case where Wikileaks announced the name of a man arrested for "sexual deviation" (something he said would have had major implications if not for the fact that wikileaks is blocked in Saudi Arabia, so his wife's family couldn't read it), was one that received press recently. There's been numerous cases like that, including in Egypt, Kuwait etc.

At the bare minimum, I want a forum that doesn't make me dumber every time I visit.

Oh really? Here's a good way to start. Stop thinking that reading Op Eds written by people who are just googling information the way you are in some way makes you educated on a topic and actually get off your ass, get out of your house and get a little real life experience with a certain subject.

I'll amend my statement to "Most Middle Easterners" Fair enough? And it's from your own link, so don't get mad at me. And again, no, that isn't what is punished. Pedophilia is not punished.

Oh that's interesting... then why don't journalists and scholars cite the personal experiences of random jackasses on the internet, especially those with a huge history of shitposting? I can't imagine why they don't. It seems like they're missing out on a valuable resource. But we'll certainly take your drivel as truth from now on (complete with all the decorative bullshit you've picked up the the far-right echo chambers with the biggest fucktards on the internet) because your valuable information certainly can't be made up by a complete asshat on the internets.

I've always suspected shaving was invented by homos trying to look like girls and you all follow suit and look like queers unless you counter with a cigar like the Crusher.

I already linked to the cases from Iran of paedophiles being hung, and the guy executed for paedophilia mentioned in that Atlantic article is from 2007. Not the guy they crucified and decapitated in 2009. Even "most Middle Easterners" isn't accurate. The article makes no such claim, that's all you. Egypt too has stepped up their prosecution of homosexuals over the last few years using surveillance
