It was after that, she was on the roster but had no fight, and i knew that, but i told her TUF was a great chance to get more spotlight under her name and to get a better contract and she went full diva on me lol

Parisian looked like shit, man. He'll be lucky to get a Finale fight.
Batista is a very good one-trick pony. He was always odds on to win the show, unsure how far he gets beyond that though - he's kinda old compared his record, he'd need to be thrown into the mid-deep end quickly and I see him struggling with guys like Walt Harris, Arjan Bhullar and Shamil Abdurakhimov to be honest. Let alone anyone better.

I mean the guy just defected from Cuba and started training mma what, three years ago? That's why he's on the show, to get more experience and round out his game. I really don't think 34 is too old though for hw though, Cormier had his first fight at the same age and had about the same boxing coming in. As for Parisian, not sure I expected a whole lot more. Obviously he never faced anyone that was close to the wrestler Batista is, he still managed to keep getting up though. Rebello is no slouch either, he deserves a fight on the finale off winning on the contendor alone.

I lol'd when they made this match up, and was vindicated by the result.

How they thought a journeyman generalist could beat an Olympic Medalist in HW MMA is beyond me.

HW MMA allows one dimensional specialists to become top 10 with limited career length or world champ (Brock).

I literally thought, if Michel has any gas he will ragdoll Josh, and that is exactly what happened.

This has been a very " underrated " season of TUF... No big names or serious drama. But the fights have been solid. Plus could be seeing the future of the WMMA 145 division...
I don't man, I usually watch all the fights and skip the rest ep1 and 2 seemed decent the last 3 have been really unimpressive to me, and experience wise Leah seems like a mismatch for Bea too.
But the first round is usually a crapshoot anyways the semi and finals are usually more skillful.

Parisian didn't use Horse Stance (BEND THE FUCKING KNEES, GET YOUR HIPS LOW) enough against the cage. Had an underhook and then gave it up for a standing kimura bullshit.

Gastulem had the worst corner advice ever "you're doing everything right." Not even close, he's doing a ton of noob grappling shit.

Round 2 he stands so up-right that the wrestler is just like "this shit is easy". He put all his body weight into a punch and got taken down easily. I'm surprised Bastita didn't grab the ankle in the first round cuz I was screaming for that shit, but in the 2nd he did. Parisian was on all 4's. If Batista knew any BJJ he would've put both hooks around the waist and got a rear naked choke. Severely 1 dimensional and I don't think he's going to improve much in his career.

The ref is fucking annoying "fight back or Ima stop it". Calm down with the whiny anxiety shit and let the guy concentrate on the fight. I smell a leftist in this ref. Still on the liberal plantation.

Kelvin’s people are all fucking great. Dude surrounds himself with excellence

When they showed Gastelum taking Parisian down with ease while training there wasn't really any doubt how this one was going to go.
Unless Batista got caught by a spinning back fist there didn't seem to be any way he was going to lose.

Is there a record for the most take downs in a round? That seemed to be the one negative for Batista, he seemed surprisingly bad at keeping Parisian down so he kept letting him get up and then taking him down again.

Batista is probably going to win it, no one else is going to be able to stop his wrestling so their only hope is staying in the fight and hoping he gasses out.

This has been one of the better seasons so far. Always liked Gastelum since he was on the show, actually won about 3k on him in Vegas when I bet on him for TUF finale, And whitaker is also a very likeable no nonsense fighter. I had questions about two no nonsense non shit talking fighters going head to head as coaches on TUF, but it's refreshing that there's not any drama between the two. They just coach their people to the best of their abilities, they obviously care about making their fighters better, etc. It's a solid season. And one thing knowing both fighters? They're gonna bang when they fight. Looking forward to it.

Stipe and DC last time were similar in terms of coaches and so were Eddie and Gaethje.

It's much betterto have that than for the Dillashaw/Cody nonsense but I only really watch for the fights (no commentators but being able to see what the coaches are saying to their fighters), some of the training/coaching segments can be interesting too. I'm not there for the fake reality tv stuff.

This. When Gastulum was dominating him easily I was thinking, yeah no fucking way he stops an olympic wrestler.

I think Michel might win the whole thing to be honest. Or maybe Maurice.
Other thing: Gastulum is a great guy and a good coach, but his corner advice 'You're doing everything right' was horrible.
