Poor Lanchana. So small. Then again, her nonexistent ground game probably hurt her more than her size. As soon as I saw that Cooper was going to be on TUF Talk, I knew Green was on the way out. I'm curious to see where she goes in the future. As many others have found, it's tough to be at the "smaller" end of the SW division. Even if she finds some skills on the ground, it'll always be an uphill battle. She needs ta git big!

Cooper seems like she will continue to be competitive at 115. Win or lose, I hope she ends up in the UFC. Even if 125 becomes a thing, I think she would be better at SW.
Lanchana needs to find a complete and competent camp. The home camp she started with her boyfriend simply isn't good enough.

I don't see her doing well in Invicta at 105 or 115 to be honest. She's likely going to stay fighting on smaller European shows until her overall game improves. Right now, she's too far behind and reminds me of a fighter from the 1st generation.

Cooper is going to stick to 115 since she walks at 130 lbs.

Oh, man. Not even a shot at Invicta? That's harsh! I think she has the potential to improve fairly quickly. A lot of the SW fighters with Invicta are closer to her size. I can see her fitting in there. Her striking and athleticism seem pretty darned good. She landed a few on Cooper, but ABC just ate 'em like a tasty post-weigh in snack (and charged forward as though Lanchana was made out of ham.)

In all honesty, I'd be curious to see how Green would do against Angela Hill. Both similarly sized strikers that haven't shown much of a ground game. Hill went from being a UFC flunky to a SW champ. I don't think such a path would be unreasonable for Green. A few improvements and she will be quite competitive (but will likely always have trouble against big fighters that cut down from 130+.)

Yeah, this. Even against ABC and being way smaller/weaker she showed progress on the ground compared to how she did in the entry fight to the house. Not nearly enough, of course, as we saw from the result but still - even in the relatively short time in the house, visible progress. With good enough training, I have faith she'll be able to get it together much better.

Hopefully she shows additional progress if they have the losers of semi-finals fight on the Finale card as usual. :)

Green would get wrecked by Hill.

Hill does have a ground game now too. She survived on the ground for 5 rounds against Souza, who is a pretty awesome BJJ specialist. I don't think she'd be getting tapped anywhere near as easy if she got back into the ufc.

Lanchana's certainly teachable and made progress in the TUF house with Claudia's coaches. But that's the thing - she won't have that quality training back home at her own camp.

Angela Hill was in a similar spot but she moved to San Diego and began training at Alliance MMA where she improved immensely. That goes back to my original premise about Lanchana having to abandon her own camp, which she's invested in with her boyfriend, if she wants to keep progressing.

A lot of scenes with ABC in almost no clothes so it was an awesome episode lol. But she has like zero boobs, or even minus boobs. My ex GF had no boobs like that, kinda a big turn off for me. But still, WAR boobless ABC lol.

ABC was messing around with weight a bit too much and left it all till last second. Not a smart move but at the end she had more luck than brains lol. Funny how Andrew said in confesional that she left it till last minute and night before she asked him if she should cut more weight and he was like "nah, it will come off while you sleep, you'll do it in the morning". Bad Andrew, bad! (just kidding, dude is awesome). And oh Dana will you STFU! Making weight is not all mental. Sometimes body just can't cut it anymore. If ABC missed weight then in Dana's logic she just didn't want it hard enough....DERRRRPPPPPP. Jesus, things that come out of Dana's mouth are so dumb.

Episode was kinda hard to watch with Lanchana crying so much. She is a great gal and you can see this means a lot to her but ABC is just a better fighter and more importantly better athlete. She is simply stronger than Lanchana. I think they should sign Lanchana, she can have some very interesting striking battles inside UFC and be good test for new fighters.

Fight was pretty equal on the feet, nothing big happened. And on the ground Lanchana was doing pretty well actually. Made few mistakes here and there but overall for someone with no BJJ background she was doing pretty well. WTF was Dana talking about Lanchana looking lost on the ground? She was scrambling nicely and using little space ABC gave her to actuall get off her back few times. She didn't look lost at all to me. Dana is just a hater at this point. He has to exaggerate everything like his buddy Rogan..."oh this is the CRAZIEST coach challenge EVAR, best KO in TUF history bro, she was LOST on the ground". I can't stand him! Lanchana did a good job, well done girl! Be proud!

Gonna be interesting to see ABC vs Tatiana in the finals. If ABC can pump that jab and keep her distane for at least 2 rounds she might just win. Gonna be a fun fight.

Also Mother of God does ABC has some fucking brutal elbows from the guard, both to the body and head. Great GnP, loved it.

Really want Lanchana to win. ABC is a killer, she's guaranteed a shot in UFC. Congrats on the Blue belt, too, bruce! :D

I was rooting for Lanchana to win as well even though I thought that Amanda might be to strong and well rounded for her .. and she was. But ultimately I like both girls fighting style so I am still happy for Amanda's win, she looked great imo

Why is your belt in cyrillic?

I can read it :)

I agree .. I also saw improvements in Green's ground game, she just needs more time to develop it and put it altogether. I think she will do well at SW if she can get a really competent wrestling/grappling coach on her team.

You see this with a lot of women. They train at their boyfriend's or dad's gym instead of a real camp like men do.

I agree that making weight isn't ALL mental, but some failures at cutting DO reveal whether a fighter wants it enough, I think. I'm thinking of Gutierrez who just gave up during TUF 18 even though he was told it was still possible for him to make weight. It was one of Ronda's fighters and she got very pissed off over it. She impromptu dropped a whole lot of weight during the next 24 hours just to show her own mental toughness with weight cutting.

I thought ABC was great both standing and on the ground. these transitions were so fast, damn. she can go far in the ufc for sure.

This is a pretty uneventful season. Can't believe I'm actually saying this but I miss the drunk shenanigans and pranks of the other seasons. The highlight of this episode was home made bowling ffs. There has to be other things they can focus on. Maybe getting to know the fighters better. There's no way this cast of people could be this boring.

And did I miss the episode that introduced Renan Barao or did they just totally ignore the ex bantamweight champ? They've highlighted Meisha, TJ and fucking Carla Esparza, but no love for Renan?
