Anderson Cooper asked Ohio representative Jim Jordan (R) if he had ever heard Pres. Trump make false claims to the public, the Rep said he has never heard of any.

Cooper then brought a list of lies , compiled by WaPo, that Trump has made.

Trump has a long history of making false claims and misstating facts during public speeches and interviews. In November, The Washington Post published a tally of untrue claims Trump had made over a 298-day span. There were 1,628 of them, averaging 5.5 claims a day. In several instances, he made the same untrue claim between 40 and 60 times.

Trump's frequency of lies compared to Obama:

The New York Times also analyzed Trump's history of falsehoods and compared it to Obama's track record of making provably false statements. In his first 10 months in office, Trump told six times as many lies as Obama did during his entire term, according to that analysis.

The chutzpah you need to claim you've never heard Trump tell a lie

is this a surprise to anyone

Jim Jordan was the man who organized the Freedom Caucus to push John Boehner out as Speaker.

I watched this interview. Jordan danced around the question numerous times, he changed Anderson wording to make it seem if Anderson was asking Jordan if Trump ever lied directly to him. At the end, Anderson pinned him down and I could not believe his response that he does not think the President has ever lied. Our government is fucked up because people like Jim Jordan. The left have their fair share of people like this but someone who is willing to say something like this to not hurt Trumps base is someone we don't need in office.

His and Trump's base will be fine with his lying, cause at the end of the day it is an US vs. Them scenario for them.

Its not a lie if you beleive it, its AltFacts.

If you have to prevaricate about hearing Trump lie, you've invented multidimensional bullshit

Also a random fact Jim Jordan was an NCAA wrestling champ in the mid 80s. He beat the greatest American wrestler of all time in the finals (John Smith)

Don’t pretend that attitude isn’t on both sides of the aisle. That’s disingenuous as hell.

Trump lies, often when it’s inconsequential.

Trump tells the truth when nobody else has the balls to.

Sure , but is there a degree of difference in how both sides back their own up? Maybe , maybe not.

Man, I honestly don’t think so. That’s part of the reason the two party system is flawed.
Consider Hillary, there’s an overwhelming amount of evidence that she was into some shenanigans, but her supporters could easily look past that to put her in office. And hear me, Trumpers are no different. It’s a mess on both sides.

The most bizarre thing about his lying is the reaction to it. With anyone else, the average person would assume that someone who lies this often is lying all the time. For a lot of his base though, it apparently only means that he lies about things that are meaningless. The extreme that some people will go to in order to give him the benefit of the doubt is incredible.
