Trump tries to borrow Van Gogh painting from Guggenheim; they offer him gold toilet called "America"

We never whined like this or denied the President basic respect. We took our L and hoped for the best. And this post of yours proves my point. You're a facking child throwing a tantrum.

Lol. No not Really. Secret Kenya Muslim communist with no birth certificate and a monkey wife. Yeah you showed RESPECT alright.
Obstructionist GOP majority.

lol Trump is the source of the blatant disrespect of the office. Be mad at him for lowering the bar for everyone else.
People do need to own their behavior, but I also don't mind people firing back in kind.

This is the guy who tweeted about supposedly turning down the request of a couple who wanted to join him for New Year's, saying the gentler half was bleeding from a facelift.

He's a dick, and many people seem to relish his behavior because he's "fighting back." It should surprise nobody that people and even institutions are starting give him a taste of his own medicine.

He needs better tech specialists. Get digital copies of all the painting you like and push them to large monitors set on the walls like frames. You could have a Van Gogh collection up for a week then switch out to another favored artist. Bonus points if you have the monitors inserted into the walls and then have painting frames surround the displays so it looks like actual framed artwork on the walls.

There are elites that will black ball you if things are phony.

ie. "i dont like him, therefore its ok to shit all over him."

You dont have to like the guy, as I said. But they should have just politely declined as iwould be the proper thing to do.

and as i said before, it didnt matter who was President. If they had been a Republican, this would all be happening still. Ted Cruz, Jeb Bush, Rick Santorum, Rick Perry, Mitt Romney, it doesn't matter. They would all be horrible people worthy of or scorn and disrespect

They would all be acting presidential, ie. treating the office with the respect it deserves. Do you see the difference?

Yeah.. He gets a lot of disrespect as president. His message of Americans first, and efforts to not put other countries economic interests ahead of our own doesn't really deserve all the disrespect.

Why didn't you list all the things he does that would result in any human being getting treated with disrespect?

I am genuinely curious if this is a thing. Rich people borrowing paintings from museums?
Having your painting displayed in the WH will increase it's value, so there are a lot of people who are happy to have their artwork loaned out if asked.

you treat the office with respect, not necessarily the person if you dont like him. it was childish and stupid on the part of the museum. you see the difference? no i guess you dont, because you are exactly the type of person i was talking about. maybe when you grow up you will learn that someday

Trump has been incredibly rude and insulting to many people and politicians, before and during his presidency. In fact are large part of his support came from his lack of abiding by PC culture and "telling it like it is". Are you saying he can say anything he wants because of his position but no one else is allowed to say what they feel in return?

lol at using a multi million dollar piece of "art" as a symbol of another country's greed.

Is it really that disrespectful to give a gold toilet which represents excessive wealth to an excessively wealthy man who likes gold?

Weren't there arguments recently about Trump calling countries "shithouses" instead of "shitshows" and that was actually not offensive at all because it was just a statement about their practices? Why is this much different?

For better or worse, people didn't want a traditional president. Trump just says publicly what a lot of people think.

That's fine if it's what people want, but it's a two way street. If you're going to lack tact in the position, there's no reason to expect it from others.

Well, I did say for better or worse. My hope was that this election would shake up the way politics in this country works but it really doesn't seem like it has. Its just made it worse.

Yeah, I know they lend between museums or for special events or stuff like that.

I'm just trying to imagine a world where rich people call up museums, say "I was there yesterday and really like that painting on the 3rd floor, can I borrow it for a few weeks?" and the museums says "Sure, bring it back in 2 months."

Like museums are special art libraries for the uber wealthy, lol. We can look but they get a library card to take shit home. I want it to be true and I'm afraid of it being true at the same time.
the uber rich own the art work and lend it to galleries, they dont need to borrow only chumps like donald try that shit, reason we dont see his tax returns is hes far from the billionare that he portrays

This subforum cracks me up. :D "Something Something Something Gossip.... Something Something Something Trump." Personally I'm not crazy about Trump... That being said he has good and bad points, but the super anti-trumpets are incorrigible. I guess 3 years of this will at least be entertaining though :D
