studies are demonstrating to be strongly linked to a matter of cultural taboo, as a "volitional" behavior, which incontrovertibly it is, meaning that a person can choose whether or not they wish to engage in it, unbound to birth, and yet this group is protected with civil liberties while another is not.
Cutting your dick off isn't a matter of instinct. Swallowing hormones isn't a matter of nature. Also protected. Purely volitional. Yet these choices are protected.
Very slippery slope, and the inconsistency doesn't make sense to me.
