Spoke out against Nord Stream 2 pipeline-- Russians did not like that
Demanded NATO partners spend more on defense-- Russians did not like that
Terminated Iran deal-- Russians did not like that

It makes no sense. It's fair to question the decency, ethics or even the humanity of people who end working in intelligence, but not their patriotism. You don't go into that kind of field unless you're a true believer. The suggestion that people like that would conspire against a sitting president (i.e. treason) is so bizarre.

If these people wanted to play politics they would just work for lobbying firms or political think tanks and make a fortune.

You're missing the point. If the actual number was 90% he would have claimed 99%. He's a liar, he wants to deceive you, all that matters to him is perception.

Yes, some of that would be nice for a change. But we're currently residing in fantasy land, where the intelligence community of the US, actually even those of its closest allies, are all telling the president lies because they're still butthurt that Hilary didn't win. Putin loves Trump's actions on Iran and Trump fighting with the leaders of NATO. Putin had always wanted to defang NATO and Russia's reducing has massively benefited from treating up the Iran deal.

Trump's expulsion of the diplomats was done in conjunction with Putin to reduce the inconvenience as much as possible.

Likewise, Trump's eventual semi-application of the sanctions only happened after the targeted Russians were able to buffer themselves as much as possible. And then there's the time when Trump re turned seized Russian compound to Putin...
