Trump goes full truther on Puerto Rico

It wasn't stupid tho, it's the truth. What's 'beyond stupid' is when people recognize that Trump is being unfairly blamed for causing 3000 deaths but then criticize him for pushing back with the truth?

Do you think it's a coincidence that this PR story is being brought back up and spun into a living death right before a new hurricane hits?

Being brought back and spun????? Trump, as usual, brings it on himself with the stupid things he says and his followers blame everyone else.

It's funny how the media report on things that Trump says. Weird...

We forgive you for being so stupid as to say "I belive Trump" publicly. Carry on, crusader.
You don't need to beg for forgiveness because of your syndrome, it's not your fault you were dropped on your head as a baby.

How would you do it?
Address the number as real but not a direct result of the hurricane, but rather as a result of Puerto Rico's poorly managed infrastructure that is under the ward of the Puerto Government that is predominantly Democrats. And be sure to advise of every bit of aide sent with the contrast of every bit of aide that the Puerto Rican government failed to distribute to it's people, which could have save many of the lives lost. That would have truly put he blame where it belongs which would need to be explained by those crooks and shirkers in Puerto Rico instead of giving the Dems food.

It's not that complicated.

Interesting, because that is the exact message I got from his tweets. What message did you get?

If everyone is saying what you claim, then it should be no problem for you to quote a few of the posts. Only the ones that are saying precisely what you claim though, that all 3,000 of the death toll died during the storm specifically because Trump tweeted. Nobody will bother to hold their breath waiting for you...

Umm...the entire left media is.

"Trump's tweets referred to an independent report, commissioned by the Puerto Rican government and conducted by George Washington University's Milken Institute of Public Health, that found an estimated 2,975 people died in Puerto Rico in the five months after Hurricane Maria devastated the island last September."

Interesting, There is an investigation BY THE PUERTO RICAN GOVERNMENT that says it...but TRUMP IS MAKING IT UP!

The left has lost its god damn mind.

He won't do that because then it comes back to if the local government was that terrible at distributing aid then why didn't FEMA do more. That's why he has to go the full blown loon route of trying to deny the report entirely.

So in a tweet where he says Democrats are manipulating the death tool related to Maria, despite it coming from an independent study by GW University, you somehow think Trump is accepting the number as real?

Can't even get pass step one in that plan.

Logistics.

Again, facts don’t matter to such a massive group of supposed educated people.

I think you've got the misunderstanding back to front there. It's not the media that is falsely conflating the numbers.
It was Trump saying the initial government figures after the storm were proof that the 3K figure was completely inaccurate and that the response to the crisis was a great success.
The idea that the impact of the hurricane was being massively understated is not a recent claim either. Nor was the GWU paper the only one to reach similar conclusions.

trump and his base could give a shit about how many in puerto rico died because:

1. puerto ricans have brown skin

2. trumptards didn't even know puerto rico is an american territory

Logistics.

Possibly. But that still would result in questions about did FEMA do all it could, could FEMA have been better prepared, could the admin have done more.

It has the possibility to reflect negatively on him even in small peripheral amounts so he has to just deny it occured.

PR officials were arrested for on charges related to theft. What could FEMA have done?

To reiterate you're asking a question that Trump doesn't even want to have to address because it could possibly reflect negatively on his administrations handling of the situation.

That's how low the accountability in this administration is that their response to a situation that has a possibility of looking bad for them is to just deny it having occured.

That's what truly scary about his response to this. There's zero ability to self evaluate. Under no circumstances is the disaster relief surrounding Maria a success, yet they want to claim it as such.

So you're question is never going to get answered by the people in a position to answer it or in a position to do something about it while their bosses boss pretends nothing happened.
