1. Even a shitty source like wapo has to concede that this (if it really will be pushed, in the first place) is not retroactive

2. Only complete dipshits entered this program. What kind of a neanderthal would trust our leaders to hold up their end of the bargain? If you're stupid enough to believe politicians on either side of the aisle then it's important that you get screwed hard so that people with the ability to think and read above a fifth grade level don't have to bear the burden. Smart people signed up for this and used it as a stop gap, they didn't actually expect it to stand the test of time.

I'm curious, like I am with healthcare, why don't people ever bitch about what these schools charge that puts these 'students' in debt in the 1st place instead of blaming everyone else (like politicians) for deciding not to help pay for it? Why do the schools get a pass?
