Hi, I would like hear your guy's experience if you notice improvement with your squats, deadlift or any other sports such as boxing, baseball, or wrestling from doing trap bar jumps or squats jumps. Thank you.

I don't really like jumping with weights on my spine. So I'd do trap bar jumps, but if I can insert an third option? I'd just do a variety of jumps. Broad jumps. Broad jumps onto a box. Box jumps. Jumps. Never really found weight to add anything extra.

That's interesting because I always assumed that with added weight, it would help with your performance.

I never felt it did. I never felt more powerful, got faster, and I know it didn't add anything to my vertical. I'd hazard to guess that even a small amount of weight slows you down just enough to affect the actual jump.

The best increases in my vert(haven't even tested it in years), I would attribute mostly to heavy squats and Max effort jumps. Though I never really put that much work into it.

The general consensus seems to be some combination of squats, Oly lift variations, and plyos are optimal.
