Anyone know what the difference between the 'Top King Boxing Gloves Ultimate Velcro TKBGUV' and the 'TOP KING Boxing Gloves “Super” TKBGSV' is?

Which is a better glove?

I don't have either gloves, but you can see the wrist strap is different, one starts half way, one starts from the beginning.

Muay thai fighting, muay thai factory, any thai site really, just look at the pictures and you will see it.

I checked out Muay Thai fighting and they look the same length to me. The TKBGSV looks like they have different shaped strap, from your standard strap style, but that's about it?

Yeah, that's what I was talking about!

And yes, I believe that's the only difference, since thai brand most of the time mark their designs with a code and when they update the design they make a new code and still make the older design available (Probably use a template or something to make those gloves)

Which ever way you go, be prepared to get a glove with a ridiculously small hand compartment. I have small to medium hands and struggle to get em' in, with no hand wraps either.

Top King has a brief write up on the differences of their gloves:

sounds like the Super series is their new line of gloves

Yeah I heard the super is the new version. But not sure if it would be better than the ultimate for sparring? It sounds like the Super should be a better glove for sparring as it has extra foam. But not sure how that weight would be distributed differently ie if both gloves were 16 oz?

Not sure about the new versions. I only have experience with the older super airs. I find them a little front heavy, there is a lot of padding in front of the knuckles that throw the balance off. It was however very pleasant on the heavy bags.

Mostly the strap.

I never liked top king gloves because they are comically large in 16oz and the hand compartments are really small.

I had a bright pink pair that I really wanted to love but just couldn't get into them.

I've also seen the paint or whatever on the more graphic ones sort of turn to slime and stick to everything you punch.

The wrist is different. The Super has the new wrist closure which provides better wrist support. The ultimate is their old style and the wrist support it not as good.

The Super, Super Air, Super Star and World Series both are the new style with better wrist support.

Whereas The Empower and ultimate are the old style.

:)
