Aaron Jahnsen. It was a last minute fight that was held at LW .
It's on youtube.
He was a bit taller but that's it. The size difference is negligible. It's stated that he cut about 9 kilos before the fight making him about 175lbs. There is only a difference maybe of 3-5lbs.
Still I forgot about Aaron. Only time I remember being about even in size with anyone. Dustin was kinda close in size.
im just messing witcha m8
I think he was only slightly taller - if you watch at the end of the fight when they're announcing the winner it's the closest to a side by side comparison of the height difference, but he looked more thicker/bigger than Conor.
Eh, maybe a bit but he could just have a deceptive frame. I can't see the weight difference being anything substantial but that is definitely the 2nd biggest person he's fought.
I agree with op...
Very tough fight for conor. I wonder how much his boxing have improved by training for his boxing fight.
honestly, Tony knows that the only chance for mcgregor is via boxing. he knows that Conor have no cardio and after 2 rounds he gas seriously.
Tony would have to be KO's cold, if tony is hurt badly by Conor he will simply go on his back and invite conor to go on the ground. the only way conor can win is via a pwoerful KO and honestly i dont think he's that powerful at LW.
Conor reach advantage and power is what made him so good at FW.
However, at LW, it took him a while for conor to KO Alvarez and the only way he could was via the inside. conor was not able to seriously hurt alvarez on the outside, he was actually the one getting hurt the most on the outside so Conor changed the strategy and went on the inside. this is how he was able to KO alvarez. Alvarez is slow, tony is very fast on the inside. on the inside vs Tony, conor will get killed by elbows and muay thai. Conor wont be able to do the same thing he did vs Alvarez at all.
I dont see how this will be easy for Conor. very tough fight.
That was my point.
Jahnsen looks a good bit more developed than Conor physique wise - who looks wiry and small for 155lbs, especially when you compare him in the Buchinger fight. I'd find it hard to believe there was a 3-5lbs difference between them also.
Ok checked his twitter (cannot believe I bothered searching this but I was curious), on one of his more recent fights he was weighing 77.5 kg (170.5 lbs) in camp. He's still fighting at LW so he couldn't have shifted in weight that much. 175 lbs seems like it wouldn't be far off for the fight with McGregor.
i see tony getting kod tbh. we've seen him on stanky legs before
are you talking shit bro???
Brah, you heard the commentators talking about the circumstances leading up to the fight, right? If not, watch it and listen. If you think Conor weighed 170 - 172lbs on fight night, I'd disagree.
Also, Bruno Carvalho is a WW who fought Cathal Pendred in CWs. It seems like in that Tweet Jahnsen is telling him to weigh in at 77kgs/170lbs - not saying he weighs 170 at that time.
Here they are sitting beside one another before Conor's UFC debut:
More retarded than crazy.
Rubbish Nate is chilled but Tony is a hot head, Mcgregor will wind him the fuck up.
You just accentuated how sloppy he is, Conor will embarrass Tony, his only chance is a flash submission.
Tony is perfect for Conor counter strike left and that is game over
Only I can use accentuate, because I'm smart
Stick to simple one syllable words like "head", "clean," and "off"
Tweet is a bit unclear you may be right about that.
He just doesn't look that much bigger to me. They were saying he cut about 9 kg in a short time frame. It was a short notice change so Conor may have been a bit smaller than usual. If so it doesn't look like it's by much.
Unless you know Pendred's walk around weight then that doesn't really help considering the amount of WWs that walk around at 185-200lbs.
There just isn't enough info to know this stuff for sure.
I thought the same thing but now when I REALLY look at it, Tony would get hit a lot and Conor's shots do things to MMA guys. It would all depend how quickly Tony could take it to the ground.
