TJ Dillashaw vs Dom Cruz to headline UFC 230 (rumour)

Didn’t Cruz get clowned for his entire last fight?

Meanwhile Moraes has been making opponents who blink, go straight to sleep.

I guess now we know why Cruz is in the booth calling 229; a sad attempt to gain interest in 230.

This paper rock scissors game at the top of the division where only a loss, or being the 125lb champion gets you a title shot is getting insulting to real contenders like Moraes.
 
All I can hope is TJ obliterates Cruz to get this nonsense done with. TJ didn't lose the first fight and that decision was a huge setback for a fight he arguably won.

Cruz gets tooled horribly in his last fight and gets another titleshot.

Fuck Cruz, fuck the UFC and I hope TJ smashes him out of title contention forever.

TJ will KO him this time within 3 rounds. I really don't understand how Dom even gets this fight, his last fight was in 2016 and he lost....

Moraes or Assuncao deserve a title shot not Cruz. The casuals are the ones who want to see fights based on name recognition rather than who actually deserves it. Granted TJ has a loss to Cruz, but it was a long time ago, could have gone either way, Cruz hasn't fought in two years, and is coming off a bad loss to Cody who TJ just destroyed twice. The belt should be defended against the proper contenders.

When you're acting like you know what non-casuals want, then yes... it is very relevant.

Casuals want Moares to fight because they think that's what MMA marks want. Casuals cannot identify with the legacy that is Dominick Cruz, that's why they say dumb things like "oh been inactive 2 years".

The man IS the bantamweight division. He carried the belt into the UFC. He and Urijah Faber carried WEC, and made a name for the lighter weights... along with Jose Aldo. These are the OG who even made it possible for the smaller guys to have a home in the UFC. Definitely can't leave out Showtime and Bendo, though they were in a division that already existed in the UFC. Their success showed how legit WEC was. Condit in the house, while we're at it.

Sure, he took Cody lightly, and paid for it. His arrogance got the best of him. Many of us were saying that Cody was cutting in front of the line. Cruz underestimated Cody, and paid for it. His first loss at 135, and only the 2nd of his career. 3 rounds to 2 he lost.

But, he still has a win over the current champion. The only man that TJ cannot beat, is Cruz.

If you actually watched their fight, and spent more than a year training any martial art... you would be ecstatic to see this rematch. You sir, have no fucking idea what you're talking about. You're trying hard to pass as something other than a casual. The only thing that will help you, is experience. Time, takes time.

Don't agree with it, but it's fine if that's your opinion. Moraes absolutely deserves the title shot imho.

You seem a bit hostile, hopefully you can make better arguments than "casual", "join date", "training martial arts" etc in the future. Good luck.

A real MMA fan would know this fight is complete horseshit and Dom doesn't deserve it and TJ is already arguably on Dom's level in terms of success.

Cruz is only getting the shot because he is their next flavor of choice now that their garbrandt flavor failed them.

It should be obvious but unfortunately people are too busy with name recognition and prior accomplishments. Dom is a legend but this shouldn't be the next title fight.
