Relative to genuinely good boxers, Garbrandt's skills are rudimentary, obviously, but for MMA he's very, very sharp (as good as anyone in the sport). Very good footwork (better than Dillashaw's and Cruz's regardless of how much more they move), respectable head movement, and good counter punching skills. Outside of maybe having a questionable chin, I think he'll emphatically beat Dillashaw.

According to TJ's story - which is that his management has a relationship with Kovalev and Loma's management, and it was brought up if they could do a few rounds for fun. TJ even hung out with Kovalev for a bit apparently.

I don't think this is to prepare for cody. It was more of getting experience from an expert in the craft and becoming a better martial artist. TJ has said that he doesn't prepare for specific opponents

I agree for MMA he has impressive boxing skills, especially compared to the rest. His counterpunching & timing are very good and he can move when necessary. The questionable chin is the only thing that hurts him potentially. You would think that after Queen's post that he'd be expected to be a contender in boxing though. Compared to them he's rudimentary but compared to his peers in MMA he's at least as good as the best of them.

TJ somehow has a connection to Egis Klimas or he knows him personally (Klimas manages Kov & Loma) it sounds like. The whole sparring thing came out of nowhere, really. Cool though nonetheless. If he can take anything away from sparring with any top boxer to use in MMA then that's good. I was just pointing out how radically different Loma is to Garbrandt in his boxing style.

I'm not so sure about that. Cody still has a tendency to throw too many hooks, and even be a little wild at times. TJ knows Cody very well, I mean that goes both ways, but I still think TJ takes it. He's the smarter fighter, he's the more versatile and I think he'll make Cody lead more.

I have a feeling that Codys fight with Dominick was the perfect storm. A culmination of right time, place and camp.

TJ vs Cody is going to be epic either way though! Who knows what will happen. Looking forward to it.

All because she brought the wrong noddles home.

He also tried to intimidate one of his opponents at the weigh ins, only to have it back fire on him. Dude got laid out in the fight.

I forgot about that weigh-in fiasco and the result. Stuff like that is so satisfying.

    Very satisfying.

Bec Rawlings has been talking shit to him and calling him out on his bullshit on his Instagram post. All coming from him beating up that girl.

i see the guy's a massive douchenozzle, but dropping someone in training and going "welcome to team alpha male motherfucker" is pretty classless.

He went to alpha male in the past as a guest and trained before a fight in Australia... And when he fought he claimed he was "fighting for Alpha Male " and that he was on "team alpha male." When in reality he only went to a few open gyms. He was never part of the fight team.

So fast forward, after the domestic, after he tried to rep a team that wasn't his, he came back to do some sparring... And they gave him a welcome that he had deserved.
