Time to scrap the middleweight belt

UFC seriously needs to put out the dumpster fire that is the middleweight championship today and just have an 8 man tourney for the belt, Strikeforce style:

Whittaker
Romero
Rockhold
Weidman
Jacare
Brunson
Gastelum
Borrachina/Branch

Match them up however, i dont care, but i no longer give a single fuck who the middleweight champ is and they need to do something to restore validity to the division and an interim belt is not the answer

unless it's Romero which should have been or maybe Luke rubber match. he's still ranked and a former champ. would be some balls to enter a tourney right at retirement. not a fan of Bisping though, but would be bad ass to do that if a tourney would really happen
