Stop investing in the Sages and Paiges of the world, start investing in legitimate talent with compelling skills. Insane how the UFC fails at this over and over again: the bulging biceps and tight asses of this world don't mean shit in MMA if they don't have the actual skill to consistently whoop ass. Conor, for all his faults, was clearly a talented fighter from the start. GSP and Anderson as well. Sage? Even Ngannou? Criminal that the hype machine is behind them instead of fighters like Robert Whitaker. If the UFC would start getting behind fighters with incredible fighting talent rather than incredible photo ops it would solve its star and interest issues in a year tops.
 
Agreed, I can't believe that they still try to hype Paige. She just isn't good.
 
Agreed. But on the other hand, you never know if a Sage/Paige is a Sage/Paige until they get in there and lose or underperform.

The UFC has been clueless about how to promote existing talent for some time. They were handed Anderson Silva and Jon Jones on a platter, same with Rousey and McGregor. Now that the landscape of the game is changing so quickly, they have no idea how to keep up in promotional terms

GSP and Anderson Silva are also better than Cody Pfister and CM Punk
 
Conor isn't close to being in the same league as Anderson or GSP.

He's questionable.

Saige and PVZ are definitely over sold. Cool people but the fighting talent isn't there.

Ngannou knocked out the #1 ranked contender and a former UFC champion, also beat his fellow hot young prospect, his hype wasn't comparable to Paige/Sage.

He was a clearly talented fighter on the way up. He can be criticized rightfully for a lot of things but his MMA talent on the way up was not comparable to a Sage Northcutt or even an Ngannou.
 
I wanna see Paige piss all over the octagon, Adesanya style.
 
Yep future champs imo. And soon too hopefully, with the way this joke of an org at the moment is going. Injuries, peds and Connor have really messed this up. Ortega vs Holloway has even lost a little luster
