I was listening to the old MMAScraps podcast back in the day and Pat said that he'd take a leg kick from anyone. He said that you could just ask for your leg kick, roll up your pant leg and let it fly.

He said he wouldn't even kick you back, he just knows he can take it.

Yeah, she finished her fights with submissions, not KOs, but that doesn't mean she had ZERO stand-up. Try actually watching her past fights and you'll see she not only had stand-up, but she was known for spectacularly flashy kicking (remember, she's been training that stuff since she was 5 years old). Wittman actually had to make her rein in all that flashy technique and get her to focus more on sophisticated use of the fundamentals of striking rather than throwing all that flashy stuff. Rose's striking has definitely improved a lot, but she wasn't ever without high level striking techniques. Her improvements largely came from learning to use better judgment with regard to her use of striking techniques, and developing better footwork and use of feints.

Goes to show you what a joke WMMA is, and any female who seriously trains it can easily take over WMMA soccer moms and pretend athletes.

Every single woman in the top 10 of their respective weight class trains as hard and as "real" as rose does.
