Through his Lawyer, Trump basically just told Rosenstein to get rid of Mueller or I'll fire you...

Mueller may not even indict Trump if he finds something. Based on what I've read I'm not sure that anyone knows if he can really indict a president. I could be misinformed on that.
But, I am saying if he has evidence of crimes and recommends impeachment he'll want to show his work, so to speak, to back congress into a corner.
Hence why I said, for example. Whatever the outcome, "showing his work" should be a simple matter of keeping good records. Who looks at Mueller and thinks, "That guy is disorganized?"

But seriously, keeping good records is the most basic skill a person in his position needs to have. I have no doubt that if he brings a charge of any kind against Trump, there'll be a clear a to b to c line drawn that even Trump can follow. Again, that's why I agree that any reasonable person should want to see Mueller unfettered and allowed to see the investigation to the end. There is every reason to believe that he is thorough and any charge he lays at the feet of the president will be backed up with the requisite evidence (after 3 guilty pleas from others so far) and if he finds no wrongdoing by Trump that he will be equally thorough. It's a win-win.

But just as above ITT, you have people calling for the end of the investigation. Why? Could it be they don't want to hear the result? o_O

Yep, I agree with all of that. Mueller is a badass and highly respected, and I'm confident he's crossing every t and dotting all the i's. Hope my posts aren't coming across as if I am saying anything else.

All this bullshit about conflict of interest or veering off his assignment is desperation coming from people who only care about their team and fear the outcome.

I’m gonna go revisit that case.

My takeaway without going too in depth was that the Clinton investigation focused mainly on whitewater and that they had very credible evidence of a specific wrongdoing to warrant the investigation. Then the investigation spilled over into bills escapades because it was clear that he lied under oath.

Also seemed to be a consensus following the case that it turned into both a fishing expedition and a witch hunt which is exactly what is happening with trump. You can be for those things. Just don’t tell me it’s something different

Trump is being investigated for alleged collusion with Russia. So far everything that Mueller has pulled up is tied to that initial investigation. Mueller hasn't gone after Stormy Daniels or any other pornstar that Trump was sticking his Cheeto in

How many guilty pleas in the Clinton investigation?

Well off the top of my head, and again I just skimmed, one guy supposedly killed himself, and another woman went to prison because she refused to testify. And then there’s the fact that Clinton was actually impeached and definitely lied under oath...a crime that Flynn was nailed for and yet Clinton remained in office. I actually liked Clinton but a witch hunt is a witch hunt. None of the shit mueller has unearthed has jack shit to do with Donald j trump. The 12 Russians will never see the inside of a court or jail and also have jack shit to do with trump. So I’d argue the scope of this fishing expedition is much larger than Clinton’s. Mueller will take any plea from anybody about anything to get to trump.

How is manaforts financial crimes tied whether trump colluded?

Larger than Clinton's?

Come on man , that went on 6 years and looked everywhere

If while looking at whitewater they had found out about crimes not related to whitewater that would have been fair game to move forward with.

Honestly you just sound like you don't know what you are talking about and just blindly defending Trump

I would depend on if he used his illegal ties and illegal money for Trump in any way. At the extreme least it shows Trump's legendarily shitty assessment of character in others. He has simply picked the worst people, believe me.

Mansfort had ties to Russia, while looking into those ties they would obviously look into his finances , when they did that they found what they believe to be criminal activity

Where's the problem ?

If u want to argue his was more extensive than why not tell me how?

Regardless it’s unanimous that they went too far and that it was a fishing expedition. Even Ken Starr himself regretted the way he conducted the investigation.

If the republicans put as much effort into this as they did Benghazi or Billy's blow job they might actually notice something.

Let's not forget the people trump has surrounded himself with have all been caught with corruption or flat out lying to government officials.

Let's not even talk about Kushner and the fact he's lied every which way from Sunday. He's got some legal problems involving New York right now. He's a corrupt clown like his daddy

Where's the problem ?

So when they are searching ten years back they think they might find something related to the election of 16.?

Let’s not play dumb. Obviously the plan is to find any dirt on anybody who could possibly have dirt on trump. It’s basically the definition of a witch hunt. You already have your target now you just have to find out how to get him.

Agreed

I read this earlier today and it left me scratching my head

Sen. @MarcoRubio on the Mueller investigation: “I remain confident that the Special Counsel is going to conduct a probe that is fair and thorough and is going to arrive at the truth and is not going to go down rabbit holes that are not places that we need to be going.”

What does that even mean? That he DOESNT want potential crimes to be investigated? Isn't it his job to uphold the nation's laws??

So your logic is that if Trump has been committing crimes for years and never got caught, it should just be left alone because it's old news?
I guess what you're saying is committing crimes is ok as long as no one catches you. But if you do get caught many years later it's a bad look for the investigator and he should be discredited.

Right, like investigators shouldn't follow leads. That dead body in the fridge is out of bounds, special agent. "No collusion".
