I won't be shocked, DC is a fantastic wrestler, but he really relies on that, if there was someone who DC can't wrestle I would easily be super competitive

It's the reason he struggles with jones

Brock might not be that guy, but I could also see him doing it

An athletic freak like Brock with his huge size has a chance against anyone on the planet. Can't strike for shit, but is still a massively powerful guy and even a grazing blow could do damage. Obviously could cause a ton of problems for DC if he found a way to get on top. He's also absurdly bigger and stronger, that's my biggest worry. DC seemed a bit overwhelmed by Stipes size and strength but got through it, Brock is a way bigger guy. People completely discounting Brock are crazy. Even Brocks losses have a bit of an asterisk next to them as he was ill and had one foot out the door.

That all said, DC is arguably the best ever, has amazing wrestling, a granite chin, and great stand up, he should win the fight, but Brock poses problems for sure.

Indeed, it always seemed that fight was kind of collectively erased from peoples minds when the Brock hype starts, the reality is that "Steamroller Lesnar" was taking guys like Herring and Hunt down who never had great takedown defence and especially not by that stage of their careers.

Yep I think that's really his best shit here unless DC really does show serious decline in cardio, Lesnar having a "Bob Sapp" moment and somehow landing a crazy strike or takedown that ends it before Cormier finds his chin.

Except Brock was up 10-9 on most cards & won in the 2nd
That might be why that recollection seems to be "erased"

LOL.....Brock stands very little chance of winning this fight. Nothing against Brock, he was a top level HW in his time, but his time was 2008 to 2011 and were in 2018. He had difficulties with Mark Hunt and that was over two years ago and he's gonna beat Cormier who's at his best right now?? I highly doubt it.

Whilst his recollection isn't exact the point is really the same isn't it? Lesnar was not able to bully a much smaller Randy wrestling wise. This definitely was ignored at the time with people claiming Brock would blow though literally anyone with the takedown and some of that hype is starting again.

Before the fight it was spilt as a lot of people weren't sold on Brock as legit but afterwards the hype went wild and you had the Mir rematch as well, the idea that Brock would blow though anyone became accepted by a significant part of the fanbase and the reality of the Randy fight was forgotten.
