But in the time it takes me to do 3 shots with a stock XD45 I can do this with the 45 Comp Gun:

It's really not bad for an 8 shooter.

As long as I'm doing single after single with the XD45s, their overall pretty good, no barn burning, just not bad.

I mean yeah, one's off left and one's high, what can I say, I'm a fuck up.

Shit some of my Brass is getting long in the tooth

One more reload and its all she wrote for this one.

I think if I Would do some regular practice things would look better. I could pick up a little speed without suffering accuracy. Just making time.

I think I just Dig 45s more. there's a lot of room to tune the load, (I've had 200grn bullets going 1300fps outa my 45Compgun Granted it wasn't a pleasure to shoot) They're easier to find the brass afterwards, you can load them over and over and over again. They feel like a man's gun.

Unless the crack is bulging out, they're usually ok until the crack is all the way down to the case head.

    Ha.

I mean think about it, the barrel supports it, and its just a straight case, and 45ACP isn't the most high pressure. And you don't mind so much if some shitbag steals it on the range!

Need some more track time though, gotta get my grip back, and work on smoothness. Wish I was rich and retired, I could prolly master this stuff.

Hi points are garbage guns for gangbangers. "Cheap" is fine for range guns. A "carry gun" implies that you're willing to bet your life on it, in which I don't believe trying to save a few bucks is worth it. In the same way you wouldn't put your baby in a cheap, sometimes reliable car seat. If you're ever going to have to pull it to save yours or a loved ones life, you want to be able to be sure it's going to go bang when you pull the trigger. For the price range your talking, you can't go wrong with a Glock 26/27/43, a Shield, or the xDS you already have. All the similar walthers, sigs, etc are also reliable I'm sure. I would stay away from budget 1911s for carry. 1911s are notoriously finicky, and a cheap one doesn't have the reliability confidence I would need. I have a Springfield 1911 Champion Operator that I carry occasionally and it had to go back to Springfield when I first got it to fix some FTE issues.

@jericksen5 I think the Hi-Point suggestions were jokes.

Yes, you're right. The CZ 97 B. I'm still seeing similarities to the Sig though. Maybe I'm the only one.
