They Live log.

He said I shouldn't be running a Bulgarian like program right now because with my technical deficiencies, I'm going to be doing myself no good to go to max all the time. I need to work on my consistency at submax weights and hone in my technique, rather than run myself into the ground using less than optimal technique.

All I can really say is, I think he's right. I've made more progress with my snatch in the past couple months than I did all last year. Two months ago, I'd be lucky if I could hit 120 and just the other day I hit it five times.

Makes sense. Not to be a bother, but its Been awhile since I've gotten someone else's input, what would you be doing if you were me ?

Snatch( no straps)
80 3x1
85x1
87x1
90 3x1
93x1

Clean and jerk
105 5x1 Just trying to get back in the swing of things.

If I were you, I'd recommend looking into the way the Georgian weightlifting team trains. Basically a lot of triples at weights in the 70-80% range, then every two weeks a mock competition. That is a way to build your technique and then see where you're at every couple weeks.

any idea where I could find more info ? Google has given ne nothing.

I read about it in one of Catalyst's e-magazines awhile back. I'll see what I can find.

I must have deleted that issue because I can't find it in my email and it was from quite awhile ago. Anyway, why don't you take a look at Catalyst's website. They are doing good things and will have tons of great info for you, along with a bunch of pre-made programs that look pretty good.

If I were you, I'd probably start out with this: http://www.catalystathletics.com/workouts/cycle.php?cycleID=48

And then move onto this: http://www.catalystathletics.com/workouts/cycle.php?cycleID=46

And then back. That would be the next 30+ weeks of training mapped out for you.
