GSP is no doubt the Welterweight GOAT and he would have beaten Maia, but...."ragdoll Maia?" NO! GSP would avoid the ground with MAIA at all costs. The fight would probably look similar to the Woodley fight, but with GSP doing a bit more on the feet.

My point is the best striker at WW wouldnt push Woodley when he did he almost got stopped in both fights. the best BJJ guy in MMA wouldnt push woodley cuz he got shut down every time he did. The Ruthless one who made a career out of being a blood and guts warrior fought timid and back pedaled untill he got KO'd ect ect. My point is motherfuckers dont try to run up on Tyrone Woodley thats a quantifiable reality. Yeah he's boring but its a diff brand of boring than GSP. I like both fighters for the record but they both boring af. Also Woodley vs WB one was a good fight, the rematch kinda took away from the memory of how good that one actually was. Also shouldn't of been a draw Woodley beat the fuck out that man.

Anyone who thinks that Woodley's title reign is anywhere close to GSP's is smoking crack. GSP fought the best of the best and destroyed them all for years and retired a champion.

GSP goes forward in most of his fights. Woodley goes backwards to the cage. If anything, GSP works harder to initiate action than Woodley does.
 
Honestly, I don't remember anything significant in any of Woodleys title fights besides him beating Lawler. That's sad

but opponents dont initiate the action on woodley. Lawler back pedaled all night. WB the best striker at WW refused to engage and almost got stopped whenever he tried. Maia the best BJJ guy in the sport basically gave up half way thru. People dont press Woodley. Dunno why they just dont.

GSP shut peoples offense down with a solid jab and great wrestling but fought cautious after the serra KO and never pressed for a finish even when he was destroying guys. Woodley has huge power and tries to bait people in, and they usually dont take the bait. when they do he either KO's them or comes damn close. Just two diff varieties of boring.
 
Woodley is one the best active defending champions in the UFC at the moment in this USADA era who recently defended the belt against one the best BJJ fighters in the UFC in a tactical performance but of course the majority of the MMA community will be racist towards him again via hiding behind the let's spam sarcastic remarks on social media and Youtube videos of everything being racist in order to insult him more.

Some throw in actual racist remarks in there and try to slide it in as part of the sarcasm.

These dudes are hurt by their great white hopes losing. Hurt by Anderson/Franklin... Rashad and Rampage/Chuck and now Wonderboy/Woodley twice.

Shutting down Maia's BJJ ability with supreme TDD just made it even worse.

Clinging onto the only white hope who actually got a UD over Woodley in Rory MacDonald or reaching even further with the Nate Marquardt fight earlier in Woodley's career.

This is part of the racism that Woodley is talking about. Subtle and insidious, holding minorities to different and higher standards just so they can shit on.

Not conforming to racist stereotypes, like the Mandingo fighter or the "thug" or the over the top arrogant "baller" just to sell fights.
