The US Will Have Single Payer and The Complete Lives System Within 10 Years

This is what happens in a democracy when you zhit on the poor. Eventually they wise up, get fed up, and elect Socialists into office. If you didnt want Socialism perhaps you should have done something to help the poor before it happened?

What should "we" have done. I have a feeling the answer would amount to " start socialism earlier". I'm thinking of that Thomas Jefferson quote to paraphrase " once the people figure out they can vote to get free crap from the public treasury democracy is over" . It's sick

I'll have to double check to make sure but I believe like 65% of all millionaires in the US are first generation i.e. They earned it themselves. Are you aware the US is in 20 Trillion dollars of debt and yet you want to tack on a massive welfare program. You guys are IN SANE

The US is in debt because it gives money to the Pentagon and the Pentagon pisses it away and you guys want to give even more money to it LOFL! You guys are supposed to know how to run a business??? lmao

It could cut the military budget by 20% and fund healthcare and everything else and still have the biggest military.

But then some oligarchs might cry and you couldnt have that.

I don't know how to run a business. Understand the theory but nope. We defend Germany and Japan. Trump was talking about doing a cut but now he's potus seems like he was talked out of it. I'm think there's probably good reasons

Australian nurse association ran a scare campaign recently saying our system might end up like the American one.

Our cheaper and more effective system is untouchable

That's because they get paid so much, which is because they charge so much, which is because in healthcare everyone is screwing over the customer for every penny.
Under a universal healthcare scheme everyone would get paid less and training doctors could be integrated in to the system. This could be a boost for people who might make great healthcare professionals but simply cannot afford the time at school.

I do not understand why anyone defends the practices of US healthcare, research cost may be expensive but that's not because they have to be it's simply because the people running pharma choose to make it that way and shareholders demand immediate profit.
I like people making money, money buys cool things and security but there are some things that are more important, ironically your health is one of those things. I am not a commie or even a socialist but the naked greed in the healthcare sector repulses me, it is the very definition of profiting from other peoples misery.
You may not believe this but in a lot of the world healthcare is a calling for people who really want to make a difference and help society and they are respected for that. Doctors are well paid in the UK, of course not as much as in the USA, but they do well and are respected.

I know there is a mindset in a lot of people that the market sorts everything out (ultra libertarian?) but when it comes to people being bankrupted because they get sick? that's not good. I know a lot of people have been taught to believe that if they have universal healthcare they are just paying for other, lazier peoples healthcare but if, even after that, it is cheaper, why worry about it? You can help those less fortunate, save yourself a lot of money and never have to worry about your families health if your personal circumstances change.

it's easy to be a hardcore capitalist when things are going well

Capitalism and healthcare are strange bedfellows sure. So that means we should exchange the awful capitalists for the cold bureaucrats by regulating the crap out it?It's the permissive direction that comes along with these types of people I hate not so much laziness. I Guarantee you I'll be helping women get abortions. I resent it and vote accordingly
