Mario Lemieux, he had cancer, did some chemo. IF anyone done chemo, it takes its toll on you. He came back and still scored more than like 40 in a crazy goon era of NHL

Back to the NHL. Maybe a little bit before the time of most posters but Bob Nystrom of the Islanders was a fucking tough guy. The reason I liked him is that he played clean and was good player. Never backed away from a fight with a goon.
IIRC in his last season the league's PIM leader tried to fight him and Nystrom KO'd him.
