I read the books as they came out(like a year between each one) so I cannot say for sure but I'm pretty sure he is like that in the books as well.

He is very much hated and the kid paying him will regret this role IMO.

Off to a good start IMO, and keeping in mind this is going to be the final season, hopefully they won't mess around (much) in this one.

As for Zach, there can't be no other option for him than a painful death, not after what he's done. Embrace your dark side, and get sliced into pieces by Quinlan.

Also, agree with @GordoBarraBJJ the moment I saw Rhona Mitra I was like

I used to be into this show... then they killed important characters, don't even remember who. And the show basically had nothing good left

So yea ready for this show to end already. Not nearly as into as I used to be just want to see how it ends. The most recent episode Zack continued being a POS. Can this kid die already? I will be happy with whatever ending they choose as long as Zack dies a horrible death.

Zach did a pretty solid acting job this past episode, I want to see Setrakian appear more though, he's barely been in this season. I'm guessing Mitra's character is a replacement for the Argentinian actress' book character who ended up with Fett?

How did this get said and no one ask "who"?
    Which actor is/was it?

This show is probably my only guilty pleasure show that Ive been watching since season 1.
Zack is absolutely fucking atrocious. Worse than Carl ever was. I am hoping that the Master is giving him some Michael Jackson treatment on the side.

Lol this show is not great. I'm ready for it to end. Did the books trail off this badly as well?

    Lol its absurd.
I do love Eichhorst's reactions to how much time the Master spends with this kid.
Dude is like "i know Im evil, but this is just too weird for me, boss..."

    Nice episode.

Out of all the possible outcomes, I did not see Eichhorst and Setrakian ending this way, I just thought The Master once again was going to get one step ahead of them.

The finale better have something epic saved for us. As a poster said, last season was very frustrating to watch, The Master had an answer for everything.

YOu think the Master would have gotten his way centuries ago when Humans were not as smart, technologically as advanced as modern times.

Gotta admit It crossed my mind when seeing Quinlan's story in the 1800's, but looking at it the same technology was what allowed him this time to finally expand as much as he did now.

Weren't the other ancient ones kind of keeping him check so he couldn't get to where he is now?

Eichhorst's comeuppance was a great moment. "My sword sings of silver!"
I'm glad to finally get a Setrakian heavy episode this season, even if it's the last one we will have.

Maybe so but during middle ages, and Colonial Era, Master be the fastest thing on the ground. Nothing can travel further or faster.

It was good to see the old man getting some revenge after all those decades, despite being at that cost.

Good episode. Abraham's triumphant victory against Eichorst was a great moment and well-staged.

    So much for Marlo Stanfield.

Three more episodes to go before the finale. Hope Zack DIES.

The Master might puke on Zack in the end, transferring himself to Zack's body in the hopes Ephraim might spare his life.

I'd bet on that happening. From what I've read
Zach dies in the books anyway, though not in that manner. I know the show does not follow the books exactly though.
