Probably my least favorite Trek series.

Had the best theme hands down though.
The most wasted characters, too, when it turned into the 7 Show, guest starring the rest of the cast.

And Jesus, they showed her stupid, impractical platform heels too often. They should never have framed them into any scene; we can just assume she has footwear.

Can you imagine what it must be like to film a ST show, on an echoey wooden sound stage, with none of the sound effects or atmosphere we love? Having to record all the dialogue later in ADR?
Picture all the noise generated by boots on the set... clunk clunk clunk

Mulgrew was born to play Janeway and a starship captain.

Too bad the characters were so ill used.

I was just watching the ep where a Harry Kim from an alternate time line saves the Enterprise from a catastrophe he caused, brilliant

I was watching Enterprise and Voyager through concurrently to decide the better Captain. Archer by a mile.

He got the absolute fuck beaten out of him many times and had blood on his face through entire eps.

But Janeway was great too.

The worst thing about them adding Jeri Ryan to the cast was the way that they screwed Tim Russ. You could tell that the writers gave Seven all of the deadpan lines that were meant for Tuvok, and he became a totally useless character.

The producers also disliked Garrett Wang personally and took it out on his character for the duration of the show.

Shit. Didn't know that. I liked the Harry Kim character.

Ryan, I should say, was great in the role. The fan service was stupid though. Putting her in that ridiculous suit was stupid. The nowhere relationship between her and I'm so Native American man was stupid I needed an animal spirit guide to heal me

Yeah, Rick Berman wanted to kill off the character at the end of the third season. Then Garrett Wang got profiled in People magazine or some similar publication, so the producers grudgingly kept him on.

Seven of Nine was a cheap ratings ploy that just wasn't in keeping with the nature of the franchise. When Ira Steven Behr wanted to boost DS9's ratings, he brought in Michael Dorn and went all out with the Dominion arc.

Berman and Braga's solution was just embarrassing.

Truthfully... I didn't ever care for the Dax character (or what's her name's portrayal) and the romantic stuff with Worf. It was melodramatic even by ST standards.

Picard was always watching space porn on the tablet in his ready room.

watch

Hottest ST chicks (TOS has too many to list)
Uhura
Hoshi
Ezri Dax had all the cute

If they pull any politcal messaging bullshit or handle Picard in a disrespectful manner like they did with Luke...I'm gonna drive to fucking hollywood and blow it up.

It's good by virtue of Stewart.

But ST always depends on strong writing about human morality. It needs good stories or it's gonna suck.

Positive for him, negative for all those other hack names involved.

Rather than "Picard: The Ambassidor years" they'll probably make "Picard, Robo Space Pirate".

You don't think Genevieve Bujold was born to play Janeway?

She was fucking horrible.

When she tried to talk tough her voice got this weird squeeky tone to it. And she was far to motherly. She annoyed the shit out of me.

Female captain should resemble ripley from aliens. tough, curt takes no bullshit and is consistent. mulgrew did give me a sense of authority at all. part of that was her posture her tone and how she emotes. I guess that's all in the acting. she's much more suited in orange is the new black tbh. And that's saying something considering the over the top horribad russian accent she's putting on.

I would be unsurprised but I don't expect them to forget what the character was about.
