You say he is opportunistic for wanting Bisping? Yes he is. He saw an opportunity to come back after a long layoff and move up a weight class to face a guy who is a good style match up for him, make history and a pile of money.
He was always judged by his haters for not moving up a weight class which is just silly to start with, and so he checked that box in his career. Bisping is a good style match, he is also no cake walk. Bisping knocked out the champion, is much larger and has smoked a lot of good fighters in his career. The haters are just like my ex, always looking for something to bitch about. What next? will you guys be calling for him to fight a fucking bear? If you hate him and just want him to lose, say so instead of dancing around the issue.

It's pretty obvious why gsp is hated. The guy is boring as fuck. Sits in guard and throws baby punches with no damage, makes NO attempt to pass guard and wins by decision 90% of the time. That in itself is not a big deal, there are plenty of boring wrestlers in the division. The issue is the ridiculous fan base that acts as if hes the 2nd coming of christ. The guys striking sucks. Bottom line. I constantly see people praise his boxing as if the guy even uses it. Jab jab jab superman punch takedown. I understand being biased toward your favorite fighter but lieing about his skillset is something I see gsp fans constantly do.


The worst part of it all tho is how Dana white is forced to pretend that gsp is an exciting fighter that the ufc wants to promote. Only reason hes 1/5 as popular as he is is because he has all those canadian nerds lining up to see him lay on top of a sweaty striker and get up with more damage on his face than the guy he was "beating up"

As a GSP fan that would be the first legit gripe against the guy that can hold ground. Yeah he wasn't the most interesting fighter to watch at times. However regardless of what skill set he possessed or how he utilized it he fucking got the job done.

Go back and watch GSP vs Bisping by the way as well in MSG, people are cheering for GSP in New York. I realize that Montreal isn't too far away from there but it's not like all of Quebec crossed the border to watch him fight.
