I'd suggest you watch the fight. Hardy did not get up ten times.
Round 1: GSP immediate takedown 1, ultimately gets to Hardy's back. GSP loses the back going for an armbar. GSP immediately gets back to his feet to hit takedown 2. With 20 seconds left in the round, GSP has the back. Sensing the round is almost over, he goes for an armbar, which Hardy miraculously escapes, and manages to get to his feet. (Both times Hardy got up in Round 1, it was off of failed armbar attempt.)
Round 2: Over a minute before takedown 3. Again, GSP loses the back going for an armbar, and Hardy manages to get on top. GSP immediately returns to his feet. With a minute left in the round, GSP hits takedown 4. Round ends with GSP on top.
Round 3: Immediate takedown 5. GSP spends entire round on top.
Round 4: Immediate takedown 6. Hardy manages to return to his feet multiple times, but each time GSP completes the mat return. These wouldn't even be classified as takedowns in wrestling. Round ends with GSP on top.
Round 5: Immediate takedown 7. Hardy manages to get to his feet with 30 seconds left in the round, but again, easy mat return for GSP.
In other words, Hardy escaped to his feet through active groundwork zero times in the fight. He managed to actually get up and break free from GSP a grand total of 3 times, with all 3 times arising out of GSP's failed armbars from the back.
The only time Hardy was in this fight, was because GSP took risks by trying to finish him.
