The orginal UFC badass...

Some of the biggest punching power in MMA history.

And also before all the "experts" starting yapping,
600lbs is 600 mother fucking POUNDS!!!!

What i remember most of Tank was the toe hold Mir caught him in..

He gave his girlfriend his teeth so he could beat someone up in the crowd once.

Good post TS.

Tank immediately came to mind when I say the thread title.

The sport was so pure back then.

(Not talking about PEDs of course)

Ahhh, the good old days. I used to love that guy for the vicious ass KO's he was handing out. Still can't believe that damn slip costed him the fight against Frye. He had that one in the bag!!!!

Side note: That guy had his arm around Tank the whole time lol.

He was the first mainstream superstar. He had a cameo in Friends when the show was at it's peak. That was quite a big deal at the time.

If the guy had more than 2 minutes of cardio at least a few of his loses would have been wins.

"I'm not going out there to win, I'm going out there to fight."

Pure Gold.

That's a shame. Bc his KOs of Nelmark and Duarte shit all over that toe hold.

Duarte came in like 5-0 from fighting in smaller orgs--plus his Luta Livre reputation. He actually did look good in his pre-UFC fights. He was supposed to be the next big thing...a more powerful version of Marco Ruas. If ever a fighter took another fighter's soul, it was Tank in that fight. Duarte fought like a scared child after that.
