The narrative that Conor McGregor made $100 million to fight Floyd Mayweather.

It is pretty well known that the ufc were taking a hefty slice of it. I’d be surprised if he saw 50 especially after tax

You know as much about boxing as you do about Who Eddie Alvarez is.

Stick to talkin about the D-level combat sport and stay out of the business aspect of both.

I stopped reading when you said Floyd had to rent the venue, you fuckin dolt, MGM has been paying Floyd for years to fight there.

You are forgetting that you are pulling those numbers out of your ass.

Lol at Floyd "may have earned less" than 300mil and Conor "most definitely made less than 100mil".

Your bias is showing.
Forgive me for having faith in a man who's made 100 million several times over a guy in a UFC slave contract.

In regards to me pulling the numbers out of my ass, do you honestly think Al Haymon does all this behind the scenes work for these elite fighters for free? There's a reason why nobody even knows what he looks like barring 2-3 photos on Google. He 100% has some fingers in the financial pie.

That's the "show money" check for the fight....the PPV backend check for it was much bigger!

Well there's a deal being brokered there then. MGM pays Floyd because they know that a fight of his will bring custom to their services in droves, hotel bookings, casino goers etc.

That's one factoid of the whole breakdown, not exactly a disprover.

Whatever Conor's 'side' made, I think UFC took an awful lot of it.

Don't forget he probably paid a tonne of money to his coaches and management. When he signed those deals he would have been making a lot less, so a 5% or 10% cut was reasonable.

Espinosa stated in an ESPN interview that Conor made 50 million and that's before taxes. After paying his manager, coaches, and Artem's GOAT bills, he was probably left with half.

I have better things to do than to read a long-winded speculative post of a novice that seems convinced everyone else is wrong and he's right. You don't know what you're talking about in regards to the 1st thing you listed, I imagine the rest of your post is filled with other things you know nothing about as well.

Why you so mad? lol.

I'm obsessed with how many lies are told about him to boost his marketing appeal.

Brah, you're a bit of an MMA/Conor conspiracy nut. If he made 100 million, how exactly does that "boost his marketing appeal"? If the media had a sniff that he didn't make 100 million, they'd be all over it. I'm sure Dana said it was the biggest Boxing match of all time in terms of PPV and the media said it was second behind Pacquaio.

You do bring up some interesting topics - but who cares how much he made?

The MMA media are for the most part living in fear of Dana, you talk ill of that organisation and you get blackballed and blacklisted.

Conor being the 100 million dollar man makes MMA look good, makes their guy look like he didn't get a bad wrap on the money side. The reality of it is, Conor wanted a huge payday, everyone knew he wouldn't win and the UFC were also having a terrible year, so they used their ace in the hole and gave Conor this fight. They have this slave-owner impression that surrounds them so they don't need bad press around them taking a huge chunk of his hard earned money.

It just shows you have no idea wtf you're talking about. Why didn't you just make a thread titled, "I have no idea about the fight game and don't know how much McGregor made to fight Floyd."

It’s one of, if not the highest selling PPV of all time. You cannot compare it to other fights and events. The only one that is comparable is the Pac-man fight, and Pac made over $100 m for that one and he was on the B side.

Why do you trust on Floyd's claims about his paychecks while not trusting Conor's? Have you seen Floyd's and Conor's contracts?

I never said or implied I think they work for free, I said you pulled those 10-20% and 10-15% out of your ass. Like you did.
