If, as some pundits are predicting, the Mueller probe ends up handing down an evidence-heavy indictment alleging significant financial crimes committed by Donald J. Trump will you abandon all support for POTUS and demand nothing less than his immediate resignation?

If not, make an ethical argument as to why the commission of crimes like tax evasion, money-laundering, etc., should not exclude one from holding the office of the presidency.

You do realize that the left did not orchestrate the investigation into Trump. I mean all Trump had to do was not boast that he fired Comey to end the Russia investigation. Likewise, a witch hunt would mean that there weren't numerous Russian FSA agents indicted nor would we had found out the scope of Russia involvement.

Clinton, do you think Whitewater was to find out if Bill got a blow job? Also it was Republicans that opened the probe how is it that hard to understand for most of you? Trump is President and both houses of Congress were Republican. Democrats had 0 control

It's already a long-standing precedent. And LOL at the idea that everyone else is as corrupt as Trump. Clinton would do fine if her financials were probed. Before Trump, no one would even think of running for president if they weren't squeaky clean in that area, and previous candidates have even publicly released their taxes.

It depends on the seriousness really. To bounce him, it would have to be Bad. Very Bad. Garden variety tax evasion would not be enough. Not even for me. Nor would most financial crimes. I don't want to hear any more bitching about his phony charity shenanigans. I don't want to hear about any hush money to porn star from campaign funds shenanigans. It's bad, but not bad enough to remove a President from office. Using that shit in a campaign is fine. But the guy is President now, and it should take more than that to bounce him.

And I don't think he would or should get bounced on an end run obstruction charge.

It would have to be really serious. Not just smoking gun collusion, But Trump holding the smoking gun Collusion. Personal directives given to directly obstruct justice on a serious matter.

To me, attempting to impeach him and failing to get him out of there is 1000 times worse than not trying at all. Even with a Democratic majority in the House, it will not be easy to get a legitimate article of impeachment to the Senate. And getting a 2/3 vote in the Senate would take about 40% of the Republican vote to go along with all the Democrats. That would have to be something really bad.

I will be most displeased with my Blue reps in the House if they foist some tepid AOE over to the Senate just to have them acquit him.

I am really looking forward to seeing those tax returns though.

The left has literally created groups like Our Revolution, Justice Democrats, etc, specifically to address problems within the Democratic Party and run candidates to swing the party to the left and get rid of the corporate cash flow. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez just marched with protestors at Nancy Pelosi's office to pressure her and the Democrats to do more to deal with climate change. There's a damn civil war going on in the Democratic Party.

The left, like people actually on the left and not what some conservative's misguided ideas of what the left is, have held the "their side" as much or more responsible than people from across the way. Probably more so, because we don't make things up to be outraged about, we go after policy.

And yes, if you want to have a remote bit of integrity, you need to hold anyone regardless of party affiliation accountable when they're pulling shenanigans.
