na I played them in order so I would connect with the characters and know about them. I enjoyed the 2nd one, dont get me wrong. But I still view them as inferior to 4. It achieved everything those other games wanted to imo

that series and TLOU really show how well ND can create characters that people care about

I still think the best set pieces theyve ever done were the train set piece from 2 and aeroplane one from 3. They go bigger everytime but it just didnt have the impact when it came to the fourth cause we already knew what they were capable of. If they released UC4 instead of UC2, that wouldve undoubtedly had more impact but I guess the surprise was over by he fourth title.

I still think more people related to the characters like Tenzin etc from 2, and the pacing for that game is near perfect. Chapter 19 from UC2 is like a walking simulator but its one of the standouts from the whole series.

I also think Lost Legacy is underrated as hell. Chloe is a dope character.


But its subjective and there is no wrong answers.

What we have here is some dude arguing for the simplification of mechanics because he's utter garbage. Lol its one of the downfalls of the genre, looking at a miniscreen in the corner instead of immersing yourself in the game and its world.

Lol the best stealth games in then genre dont have that bullshit and so they must be a disgrace to their own subgenre amirite?

Guess games like Thief etc are a disgrace to their own subgenre instead of being the best of their kind?

TLOU also has that sound mechnanic thing to make it easier for players like you similar to batman games.

The sound mechanic is also a joke because the AI are basically deaf. You see it in the "demo" for the sequel too. Deaf, dumb, and blind. They don't react organically to a single thing you do aside from pre-scripted responses to a tiny number of possible player actions.

It's hilarious when you think about it. The trailer includes:

A lesbian kiss
The main character brutally murdering someone
A disemboweling
Male on female violence


...and the kiss is the controversial part. LOL.

It really is hilarious.

Reminds me of Game of Thrones when people were upset when a character had to kill an innocent wolf off screen but the scene before that a man had killed a 12 year old boy and had his bloody body slung across a horse. Not one word from those same people. LOL

Anyway, the graphics and gameplay look incredible. I hope we get another amazing storyline. That is what really sold the first Last of Us.

"Sidestep" like the pre-programmed response enemies have when you point a 12-guage in their face. Remember the original E3 demo and how it showed them running away to flank you when your firepower was too much? Good times. Shame the actual game didn't live up to that.

Enjoy it, its more UC. Some people liked it more than 4, its pretty good. But maybe you'll feel like how a lot of people felt, its not that special once youve played UC4 and thats how people felt with UC2 and UC3/UC4. That doesnt mean its not a great game, or that its not one of the best games this gen.

I agree with your last statement with the AI. They did degrade it, but thats because of limitations, however the guys in the new demo act like the enemies in UC4, its not unreasonable to think that the AI wont massively be improved on from UC4 aswell.

Gears isnt the best anything in history..... dont get me wrong I enjoy the gears franchise and have played them all, and will probably get this one when its out. But its the same old set up..... walk to an area, take cover, kill bad guys, hear the signal that this area is finished, repeat until end.
